I've been watching a lot of Bo Burnham lately and am bummed it took me so long to get into him. 'Make Happy' was unbelievable.

I watched 'what.' too but didn't like it as much. Still some great moments but also a few cringeworthy moments as well.

    Overall, pretty refreshing material.

what. is not only my favorite Bo special but probably my favorite special of all time lol

All of his stuff is fantastic though

  6. what was such an improvement on his early routine and make happy is light years ahead of that. one of the best specials i have ever seen. i love how much he eventually expanded past musical comedy

Oh yeah Make Happy is incredible, I just think it has two weaker bits (the PB&J bit and the breakup song) while what has no low points imo

  8. I love the PB&J bit, haha. I basically feel the opposite way about each respective special but to each their own

Revisited it on DVD late last year and a lot of it is still pretty creative and inventive, even if Bo hadn't quite found his comedic stride yet.

been binging on Bo a lot as well. Can't seem to get tired of his material (same with Mulaney).

Particularly fond of this line atm in Repeat Stuff:

"I'm in magazines full of model teens, so far above you. So read them and hate yourself, and pay me to tell you I love you. And the parents will always come along, because their little girl is in love. And how could love be wrong?"

It might be just nitpicking or just looking too much into it, but I feel a bit off that my nephew is idolizing Bruno Mars and his fav song somehow is gorilla (or whatever the title of that song).

I'm still on the Dane train.

probably because his double album came out when I was like 21, so I was his target demographic.

Never tire of Mulaney either. Really enjoy Hardwick consistently too.
If still consider myself a Dane fan but his material has definitely gone downhill over the years. He's still one I check out just to see if he's still got it.

Harmful if Swallowed, Retaliation and Vicious Circle were awesome. I don't remember Rough Around the Edges or anything after that.

But at the same time we had movies like Waiting, Employee of The Month, Mr. Brooks (totally underrated thriller with Kevin Costner), Good Luck Chuck, My Best Friend's Girl.

Dude was solid for about 5-7 years.

Can't wait to get home and watch Burr's new hour.

I enjoyed hearing Neal Brennan talk about depression. He helped people laugh at it.

Joey Diaz on Hot Ones was pretty hilarious.

I was so big on Sugarcult back then. Not sure if they played Do It Alone in the movie, but since then I've always associated the movie with that song.
