Damn, I was not expecting the series finale of Maron to be some of the best television I've ever seen

 

I skipped a season (maybe two?) of Maron because I wasn't super into it, but still thought the last season was pretty solid. Wouldn't put it anywhere near my top 10, but I think he did a good job with it

Yeah, the first two seasons are fine but I feel like the dramatic turn in seasons three and four really turned the show into something special (to me, at least)

 

Excited for this. His stand up has always been so-so, but I love his interactions with other comedians and of course his sitcom was brilliant. The end of the article states he'd help develop comedy programs for Netflix. Does that mean TV shows?

I'm 10 eps into Doughboys. Dig it, still waiting on what makes it so special but I wasn't expecting to know that immediately

 

It took me a few episodes but when I listen to ones where I'm not that familiar with the guests, I still get a kick out of the jovial jabs Mitch and Wiger give each other.

 

The early episodes are enjoyable but they don't really get into that great level until Steak and Shake 2 I'd say.

 

Yeah idk if theres a definite turning point, you just grow to love the guys/the recurring bits

 

Yeah the premise is nothing special but Nick and Mitch are just great.

 

I think Rockdoughberfest is where it crosses into greatness

It's not a comedy but has anyone watched the wall hosted by Chris Hardwick? It's a fun game show that my girlfriend and I have been enjoying.

Just got picked up for 20 more episodes too!

 

Knowing that Jessica Alba isn't in Spy Kids 1-3 is stressing me out in the new DLM

 

Neil Brennan's 3 Mics is super good.

 

I can't believe nobody in the audience screamed at them about it. I thought for sure they'd figure it out when they googled Spy Kids 4, but nope.

 

I love how it was so blatant they recorded a correction in the middle. Great ep tho
