I really liked most of the Great Debators episodes, as long as you skip the weird commentator segments

 

I have no idea how I forgot about Rory's special. That guy is a saint.

 

That alone was worth the 5 bucks when Seeso launched haha

 

Hidden America, B$P are the best shows. I've heard really good things about Flowers, but I couldn't really get into it.

Rory Scovel and Matt Besser's specials are both really good. I think Nike Thune has one coming pretty soon too.

 

I saw Rory live twice performing that hour of material and I still watched the special at least 3 or 4 times. Rory's the best.

 

Oh the UCB show and the Pistol Shrimp Documentary are on Seeso too

 

speaking of Rory i need to watch the second season of Those Who Can't

 

I'm about halfway through it and it's still great. I need to finish it though. I really hope TruTV picks that up for a 3rd season

I liked it, but I'm not sure if it's good. By the end Rhea is really charming and steals the show.

 

I just got an email from Howl that makes it sound as if Howl is merging with Stitcher Premium, though the Howl app will still be available. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing for Howl.

 

Did Doug Benson do a 12 Guests of Xmas in LA? I only see the NYC show in iTunes. Also, because I'm a cheapskate, has he released them for free in the past after a certain period?

 

He did an LA one, but it was recently and it takes about a week for pay episodes to get onto iTunes. And no, I don't think they ever get released for free after they're put up as pay eps. I still haven't listened to the NY Xmas just cause I'm lazy and don't use iTunes so it's a little more difficult to get the episodes.

Last year he had New York as a paid option and the LA one for free, not sure if its different this year. I saw the guests online, not a bad lineup but no Hot Saucerman :/

 

I haven't listened to DLM for over a year but didn't the 12 Guests of Christmas episodes used to be free?

 

12 Guests of Christmas have always been free in the past. This is the first one behind a paywall upon release.

DLM is a paid episode for both 12 guests of Xmas this year but they are available to listen free on Amazon music Unlimited.

 

The first thing i thought of when i noticed Howl premium stuff on stitcher was a merger of the two. Scripps/midroll purchased Stitcher earlier this year so i suppose it makes sense. The interface and download option is much better on Howl though so that would be my preference of the two. Stitcher premium does however have an annual subscription for $35 which saves about $25 on an annual Howl subscription.

 

I wonder how the Get Up On This guys are going to feel about this.
