I've always been very terrible about attendance. Also, with the school closed for the hurricane and such, I have been pretty clueless as to how I'm actually doing in my classes (didn't have any tests or papers before that) and now grades are finally coming in and I'm getting all As so that's awesome. Also I took a sociology test today that I'm certain I got an A on and I was the first one done and the prof made me feel incredibly awkward by being like "what? you either studied hard or you christmas tree'd" I just awkwardly was like "I studied" but I wish I had been like "well we'll let my grade speak for itself" because honestly the test was garbage easy lol I I've always been a fast test taker because typically I don't have to think about things for long. I either know it or I don't and if I don't I just guess and move on, I don't sit there agonizing over it (typically). Also this test had 50 true/false questions so how long could those really take haha not to mention there were SEVERAL question that were repeated so again no thought required. Anyway now I'm rambling haha
for over a week now i've been working on a paper that was due tmrw, but haven't gotten a word on the page; just did a lot of reading and note taking. anyways, the due date got pushed back to saturday night :D now i can catch up on the other classes i've been neglecting
Basically me last week....except I never caught up on the classes I was neglecting lol. Anyways, about to do some reading so I can write a short essay due tonight haha
so when i stayed up writing for that class/studying for the quiz? i decided to nap for like a half hour before class, and i overslept and missed class. missed the quiz, couldn't turn the thing in, so it was just misery. but he was cool, i emailed him and explained what happened and he said he's sure we can work something out so im glad for transparency here
Lol, god dammit. I got a B+ on this paper that I wrote the day before and this teacher is notorious for being a harsh grader. If I had put in any effort and time into this is would have been a guaranteed A haha. I suck.
Like, part of me is proud that I can pump some garbage out and get a B+, but the other part of me is like, “man, you’re an idiot.”
Every night before an exam, I'd try to force myself to study the whole evening and night. I'd end up doing nothing once I got home from class, then just screw around until 5pm. Then I'd say I'd start at 6, then I'd watch family feud. Before I knew it, it was like 11 pm, then I'd say I would take a nap, and sleep til 1am, but I'd end up sleeping all night lol.
Lmao. 100% me. The other day when I posted at 4pm that I’d get started on my reading? Well, that was after not reading all day. I finally started reading at around 9pm. By 10 I started writing my essay due at 11:50. Of course I was working hard so I had to take at least a ten minute break during that period. Ended up turning it in at exactly 11:50pm lol.
Yes. I'd move into the living room and leave my phone and all other distractions away. Except Steve Harvey.
peak me was getting drunk freshman year and writing my essay like four hours before it was due and still getting the A im doing my midterm rn for brit lit and i got to the essay part and it's like i can't bring myself to do this it is. so boring.
the 6 page paper i was writing all day today got two lines onto the 6th page. i know my prof is gonna hate that, but i'm fuckin cashed out.
lol i got 5 solid pages and at 4am said fuck it. the way the class works tho is we only have 2 of these papers, and an opportunity to make corrections to them to improve our grade. so i'm waiting for my prof's comments on what i had so far, and build another 2 pages off that.
Relatable but somehow I got on top of my work cause I told myself no fun until I do and this one time.....it worked
Sigh. That’s my life dude. I’m trying to bust out my homework before class rn Tuesday’s are the worst. I only have three classes but cause of the way they are spread out I’m here for twelve hours. But even if I didn’t have breaks, it’s still over seven hours of class time
Yo, same, and it's very difficult to try and frantically do my Japanese hw cause I am terrible at this I have three classes on Tuesday and Thursday at well, but for the most part they're back to back. How'd it get spread out like that for you? Late registration?
Oh man, I need to get back on my Japanese. I took Japanese 1A and started taking 1B but then some family stuff happened and I had to drop out of school that semester. I forget basically everything but I’m sure I could pick it up pretty easily. No, it’s just the way it worked out. But Monday and Wednesday I only have one morning class, Thursday I’m here until 4pm, and no class Friday so it’s really only one day I have to suffer Edit: Japanese is not a class you can just scramble to do in a panic, it just doesn’t work lol
Yeah uh I gave up so lol. Were you taking it cause it was interesting or do you have a language requirement?
Both, I guess. I wanted to take Japanese but it also fulfilled a requirement. I plan on moving to Japan and teaching English when I’m done with school. What about you?
