Finally checked out Casey: wow!

They are not your typical Rise band but good for them for getting on a label that will give them some nice distribution.

 

Are they really on Rise I didn't know that.

Speaking of Rise you should check out the band Black Peaks. They are now on Rise. New single is out now. Their debut is excellent and quite heavy at times.

 

Best to go in blind. Ep is only 4 tracks/15 minutes.

Backing the talk on Casey and Black Peaks, really good bands. I'm particularly fond of Casey but here in the UK it seems Black Peaks are viewed as being big hopes for heavy music.

 

Anyone looking to scratch that ADTR/ Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! itch should check out the new Sink the Ship album. Bert from CNCC even guests on it. Fun pop punk/metalcore hybrid.

@Patterns in Traffic the SYML show was good! He played 2 new songs and said a full lenght is on the way! I grabbed Hurt for Me on vinyl. Super nice guy. He opened with Fear of Water and won over the room immediately. He had great stage banter throughout the show. The story he told before playing the 2nd new song made my gf tear up.

 

So awesome! Hope I have the opportunity to see him soon

 

So ya SYML is my hype of the moment. Got 2 ep's out rn, Hurt for me and In my Body + a one off single Mr. Sandman. Full lenght on the way.

Really loving the Middle Kids album. I’m still not completely sold on Carb on Carb yet. I get a lot of Hop Along vibes from it and for some reason I couldn’t get into the Hop Along album.

 

I had that band on my radar but this is the first time I finally took the time to listen to them and I enjoyed those tracks. Gonna have to look into their stuff more.

You familiar with the band ourfathers? Just released a new single today. Their debut album is coming out June 1st. This is their EP from 2015. Solid alt rock/post-hxc
