Yeah, the EP is called Lows. It's a mix of The Black Foxxes, 90's alternative rock and some shoe gaze. I love the fuzz on the guitar. It's out on Tiny Engines.
First time listening to Animal Flag and I am not really feeling it. I think its one that deserves listening with a good pair of headphones for the second listen.
Emma McGrath: Silent Minds EP is fantastic. Really good mix of singer/songwriter with some electro pop.
Animal Flag yes the production is a little lacking at times but the album is fucking excellent. Lyrically and instrumentally it def doesnt disappoint.
The Australian folk duo Hollow Coves deserve more ears. I just found out that they dropped a new song. Haven't listened to it yet but their ep is well worth checking out. Wanderlust - EP by Hollow Coves
Dear Rouge's new record is still getting some steady play from me. Honestly think this one will be at least in my top 10 at the end of the year. Anyways knowing the story behind it certainly has to do with it. But regardless of that, it's just a great record. Anyways this interview is cool
I thought you said morning commute so thought you did already haha but yes i remember you saying that
That’s good. As a first time listener to the band it’s hard to get past but I’m willing to let it grow on me.
but like.. is the production actually bad or are the vocals just buried.. and then you have to ask yourself why the vocals are buried.. its definitely intentional and I'm not really sure the production is "bad"
That was my next question: how are the other records? I’m just thinking maybe they aren’t for me and if I revisit the record later I’ll learn to appreciate it more.
their other record is great, and the vocals aren't nearly as buried on them. but I think this is a big step up from that.
