Yo @Colin Your Enthusiasm this song is awesome. Like a mix of O’Brother, Thrice, and some prog and metal elements.
Yeah it rules! You've heard their debut album Statues right? Fun fact band used to be called Shrine but they changed their name in 2015. I want to hear the EP they released when they were called Shrine but I haven't been able to find it anywhere. @Nate_Johnson you will enjoy this band. Check out their debut album Statues if you haven't already.
Looks like the new one will be 9 tracks 1. Can't Sleep 2. The Midnight Sun 3. Electric Fires 4. Aether 5. Across the Great Divide 6. Home 7. Eternal Light 8. Slow Seas 9. Fate I & II Called All That Divides and comes out on my birthday, October 5th.
Listening to this Middle Kids album now. Some really nice hooks on here. I'll have to add it to the rotation. Just going to be commenting on new releases a month after everyone else until further notice.
I haven't had anything to hype in a little while and by the looks of it that won't change but yeah Black Peaks deserves more ears. Not sure why they are not talked about more on Chorus.
Just checked out Gatherers. A little heavy for my tastes but I can definitely see a lot of people here liking it. Very emotional record.
I just played this record this morning after someone recommended it to me and i thoroughly enjoyed it on first listen. Emo/alt rock some tracks have some pop punk elements to them. Vocals and lyrics were good. Came out in May. St. Leonards by Slowly Slowly
Young & Desperate - Single by Dusk of Us Debut single by a new band. HYPE. Can't wait to hear more loving this song. Edit: Just played it 3 times in a row I never do that
Actually @bachna84 now that you've bumped this thread The Dirty Nil are touring in the fall and released a new album a couple of weeks ago. The opener on that tour will be Dead Soft and they just released a great new ep. I will prob go to that tour. The Nil are incredible live.
Ugh, I just looked it up and The Dirty Nil is in Cleveland next Wednesday. I have something else going on that evening unfortunately :/
A fresh take on pop punk with incredible (female) vocals, ukulele, and socially conscious lyrics that address gender politics and related themes.
