Great album, Politik is my favorite. I cannot believe I got to witness that song live in 2022 at my shows. Love this performance of it.
My earliest memory of Coldplay is hearing "Clocks" pretty much all the time in 2002/2003. That piano riff is truly magical and is one of those musical motifs I associate with my childhood the most. What a special song.
10 fucking stadium shows in Buenos Aires - and they’re going to sell out every single one. This band is just raking in the $$$$$
This has to be the highest revenue tour of all time? Or close to? I know U2 has had some massive tours in the past
Top 3 highest grossing tours 1) Ed Sheeran ÷ 2) U2- 360 Tour 3) GNR- Not In This Lifetime ...I don't know why I know that
Coldplay wrote, and will be featured on, BTS' Jin new single "The Astronaut," and it looks like Jin will be joining the band in Argentina to debut the song. Really tempted to go see this live at the movies, Coldplay shows are so fun. BTS' Jin to perform 'The Astronaut' with Coldplay live for the first time in Buenos Aires The trailer of the song def makes it sound like it could be, musically, a b-side from MOTS, it fits right into the vibe.
Such a lovely performance, and so kind of Coldplay to welcome Jin to their stage in such a way. It's likely his last performance for awhile and I'm so glad he had a chance to make his live solo debut with such much love and support from Coldplay while performing this beautiful song they wrote for him!
I'm excited! I really like Music of the Spheres, and thought it was really great live too. Curious if they will be giving a taste on SNL next week?
I liked it but not as much as the previous release. If they got rid of the chipmunk song and the Muse vibe song was relegated to a b side I think I would have liked it more. Those two songs killed the flow for me. They’re not terrible but they’d be better as B sides or something like that.
I definitely was not expecting them to perform the English version of "The Astronaut"! How lovely! Now I'm wondering if they plan to include this song on their next record, which would make sense given the theme (Moon Music). For those who may not know, Coldplay gifted this song to BTS' Jin as a signoff before he enlisted in the military. Jin's version has the verses mostly in Korean, which Jin mentioned was a kind of last minute switch that happened the day before he shot the music video. I really like this version of the song as well!
Still a missed opportunity not doing a deluxe remastered version of AROBTTH. Some awesome b-sides from that era.
