the instrumental to Everyday Life sounds so much like Speed Of Sound, not a bad thing per se just a little distracting
Dropping new songs on a weekend is something I'm still getting used to but we heard the lead singles only last week so I think I'm good until November 22nd.
I heard Orphans on the radio today and all I could think about was the song "African Child" from Get Him To The Greek for some reason. It doesn't sound like it or anything, it just popped in my head lol
I really like hearing this. That said, it's not much of a commentary on how good the album is... haha. Edit: I haven't listened
I like it a lot on my first few listens. The singles are a pretty good sampling of what’s here. Lots of world music influences.
Really great to hear. I’ll wait for the it to release proper, but very excited to listen now. I’ve questioned for a while why Coldplay has felt the need to chase pop success at this stage of their career. Glad to hear this seems to be a turn in the right direction.
thought this was fine. front-to-back their most solid release since Viva La Vida, but it never really hits the highs of that or any of the albums since. kind of just blends together too which is odd given all the hype about its experimental moments. "Daddy", "Arabesque" and "Old Friends" were my highlights
I don’t think it blends together at all. There are so many wildly different kinds of songs on here. It definitely is sequenced in a way that every track is designed to flow into the next track, but the actual songs are pretty diverse.
