I definitely hear Rise Against too, they always had that pop rock bounce from Siren Song onward. A perfect mid-2000s gateway band to the world of heavier music.
Man, you people weren't kidding. WHEW BOY. Put the windows down and turn this bastard up LOUD LOUD LOUD
I really haven’t stopped listening to this. It’s so good. It’s also so good that it has me really re-going through Green Day’s discography.
I have been IN on these guys since the last album. I cannot remember the singer's name right now, but he is a tremendous vocalist. He really stands out on this new record
To be clear, I only visited it because I’m Covid bedridden and going through the 144 tabs I had open on my phone. Your review of it was one I had opened and never read all the way, but knew I had to come back to it. First half is great. Second half is great. Openers and closers are earthquakes. I hope I can hear them live one day.
Had a break then revisited this today, it's really great. Outside of the opener and closer, Never Coming Back was the big standout for me. What a raging chorus.
The record is terrific front to back, but his vocal delivery on the closer makes me want to break down a fucking wall, like the Kool-Aid man, every time he says “hey!“ when the first big riff and the organ kicks in. It is a truly great windows down, warm weather record.
Did anyone order this vinyl from MNRK Heavy? I'm wondering when it will actually ship. There's no estimate on their website.
I sent an email to them before I posted here and they just replied, they won't have them until the end of July.
