Iron Fist is a great song

 

Outside of songs on YOTBR and TCBTS, it’s my least favorite Coheed song.

 

I love the acoustic version of Iron Fist. Not as into the album version, but it’s fine

 

One of my favorite memories was when Claudio opened with a 6 song acoustic set and Iron Fist. Definitely need more acoustic stuff from these guys!

 

I honestly always considered them as one double album

 

Domino is like one of the greatest songs of all time

 

Domino and Evagria are two of their absolute best songs in general so Ascension does have that going for them

 

Yeah i found afterman to have quite a bit of filler but also some great stuff. I was playing around with a single album playlist

4. Evagria (holy hell do i like this song)
5. Gravitys union
6. Away we go
7. Domino (love how this song starts, would fit good as track 1 too)
8. Dark Side of Me
9. 2's my favorite 1

 

I think Away We Go is my least favorite of the whole project. Still a cool track regardless.

 

I've always loved Descension, it's probably my favourite Coheed album but I've never been able to get into Ascension much at all.

 

Yeah. Post IKS I had only heard Welcome Home and Suffering. Thats it. I did like SSTB and IKS alot back then so i'm not sure how the band fell off my radar but they did. Glad my buddy sent me over Liars Club so it gave me a chance to get back into them.

 

yeah, those two are better than anything on descension IMO.

Those two are probably in my top five post IKS songs (granted after only a week of listening).

 

As an admittedly "new" fan post IKS.

Black Sunday wouldn't make my list, but shoutout to that song, one of the few they've put out recently with a abnormal structure.

 

Gravity's Union is insane, really wish Claudio would bust out the 8 string guitar again

 

Love Protocol and Apollo I are skyrocketing up my list. Havent heard a lot of chatter for Once Upon Your Dead Body. Really digging that one too.

I think GA is inching forward as my favorite post IKS....though i'm sure thats not a very hot take lol.
