I've always said, even to Zach in an interview a few years back, that Coheed would sound absolutely phenomenal if they did a show with a live string orchestra. I have no idea why that's not happened yet.
I just did a full discography run, so I might as well start this up..... Power rankings, lets go. And yes, you must use the correct abbreviations IKSOSE:3 GA,IBSIV,V1:FFTTEOM GA,IBSIV,V2:NWFT TSSTB V-A1:TUC TA:A TCBTS TA:D YOTBR
oh no not again. GA,IBSIV,V1:FFTTEOM IKSOSE:3 GA,IBSIV,V2:NWFT V-A1:TUC TA:D TA:A TSSTB YOTBR TCBTS the only thing i question myself on is vaxis and the afterman albums. I like them pretty equally but like vaxis more than either of the two halves of afterman, but might like afterman better as a whole.
IKSOSE:3 GA,IBSIV,V1:FFTTEOM V-A1:TUC TSSTB GA,IBSIV,V2:NWFT TA:A TA;D YOTBR TCBTS I'm with @Micah511 about the Afterman albums. Completely tied for me. They're basically the same album anyway lol I'm stoked for some random person to come into this thread and be so confused lol

I realized this listen through that I don't like Descension as much as I thought, Ascension felt clearly better
I've never liked Ascension much. Sentry, Number City, Gravity's Union, Dark Side of Me and 2's My Favourite 1 are all fantastic and I'd take them over anything on Ascension.
We've mentioned this recently but Evagria is criminally underrated. Gun to my head I'd probably choose Descension over Ascension purely because I think Gravity's Union is the best post-NWFT song.
Sweet, new single. Curious to hear if it’s as radio ready as Shoulders since that one has done so well.
Sweet riffs and offbeat melodic concept... this feels in the same vein as the tracks that made Vaxis I great for me. Worried production might weigh this record down similar to YOTBR, though.
Whatever concerns I may have had about this album were immediately squashed by this song. Claudio is completely in his own league songwriting wise. Threw this on in the middle of a drive home and was grinning ear to ear within 20 seconds
i was worried about the production after shoulders, but this one rips! looks like we are going to get something a lot closer to good apollo 1 than we were expecting! and this sounds proggy but with that unmistakable coheed pop, definitely very happy with this song and i like it a LOT more than shoulders
What a way to wake up today. I absolutely love this. It rides that beautiful Coheed line of proggy pop so we’ll. That chorus soars. I cannot wait for whenever this album comes out
