I actually really enjoy the running free but it’s def because of the nostalgia associated with my freshmen year of high school

 

"the running free" is extremely good

 

It’s the harmony whenever the final chorus kicks back in full band for me. Cheesy? Maybe. Do I love it? Fuck yea I do

 

Dude the end complete is an epic 8 minute masterpiece

 

I will always take pride in Coheed being a band from around my area, a former coworker in a previous job actually did wiring for Claudio's place years back. He said Claudio was absolutely fascinated with wanting to know how all the wiring worked and followed him around with a guitar around his neck lmao, also was super friendly and wanting to help when he could

 

He seems like the coolest dude.

 

Can’t comprehend the idea of someone putting NWFT at the bottom of their discography. Incredible record. And the title track rules.

I'm pretty surprised the band still hasn't put out a repress of Second Stage that is widely available everywhere. What gives?!

 

I've still never listed to NWFT or YOTBR lol.

 

I'm hoping that shoulders isn't that...

 

Isn't the long, stage setting track on the album? Or you haven't listened and don't want that? lol

 

what? shoulders is 3 and a half minutes and has nothing in common with the tracks i named...

 

I meant that I hope Shoulders isn't the upcoming album's intro track, since Dark Sentencer was the first track released from Vaxis.

 

I'd put money down on this not being the opener.

 

Fortress was a MOMENT for our friend group. I'm the only one who remotely likes prog among my friends, but that album transcended everything and we all *still* love it. Being a teenager in Toronto when that album dropped was something else.

 

The IKS3 omnibus came in the mail today. These are next on my reading list. Excited to dive in.

God that riff still hits so hard

 

New video is fun. AMA beforehand didn't have any pertinent album info. Hopefully something drops soon to coincide with the video.

 

Still blows my mind how gracefully these guys age. This is essentially the same video as The Running Free from 14 years ago but they've all dropped 40 pounds

It occurred to me too that the band relies less on Claudio's "helium vocals" than they did earlier in their career, he still obviously has the range but he tends to reign it in more in service of the tunes now, which I think has made them a more accessible band to the masses

 

Shoulders has hit #37 on the Rock Chart. That's their highest charting song since The Running Free in 2008. Amazing!

 

It's also apparently been streamed 1 million times already on Spotify.

 

Shoulders is going to be massive
