I don't hate the idea of universes meeting/merging, I just don't like the idea of their entire world is controlled by this dude in a realistic setting. I totally get that that's Claudio haha, but I don't it needs it really.

 

wasn't Claudio going through some relationship shit at the time of GA1 and incorporating the Writer into the narrative was his way of writing himself into the story (other than having a character named after him)? and Erica Court was supposed to be the story representation of his love interest? don't quote me on any of this...

 

absolutely. his GF (now wife) broke up with him, and that was his way of dealing with it.

Been on a big Coheed kick lately. Just finished listening to Year of the Black Rainbow for the first time in forever and it's way better and far more interesting than I remember. It feels like a big departure from their first four albums, incorporating more of an atmospheric vibe with synths and simpler song structures with less crazy riffing and more rhythmic focus, but it really works.

Pearl of the Stars is a beautiful track.

I'm going to ahead and say it's definitely real. I think the pictures with the hat were intentionally staged to make it look like he might just be hiding it under there, though maybe he also still had the hair there but was trying out the look.

Honestly I think it looks identical to other times he has his hair pulled back. The freshly shaven face is the confusing part
