I almost love the art more than the song.

 

I really enjoy The Color Before the Sun but it’s good to have this Coheed back. I’ll echo what everyone else has said about the song so far and add that I’m getting some pretty heavy Between the Buried and Me Parallax vibes. Few bands could come back with a sci-fi heavy ten minute song but they nailed it.

 

I feel like after YOTBR they released Domino to be like, "don't worry guys, we still got it." and this feels like the exact same response for TCBTS.

 

Just riffs everywhere.

 

so this definitely takes place after the end of NWFT?? like we're getting full-on story continuation here? my lord

Yeah, it sounds like it'll be about whoever survived what Claudio did at the end of NWFT. Rumored to bring Sirius Amory (Afterman) back and have the two stories collide. So yeah, when someone mentioned BTBAM's parallax, they might've been right on target. Art has a similar vibe as well.

 

I'm down for these vibes.

 

It is insane that GA came out 13 years ago and they are still cranking out bangers like this.

 

Unf, the time skip motif at the end was just pure icing.

Also, is there an actual name for that?

 

This actually makes me like Color Before the Sun even more, because they needed to make that album in order to freshen up to get whatever beast this is gonna be

 

The chorus for this is so sexy.

 

When Caludio comes in with "HEAR MY VOICE" during the last chorus... I live for stuff like that.

I was mad he never followed through on YOTBR and made a Second Stage novel, but fuck it this is so much better

 

I like the YOTBR novel but I'm happy with the SSTB comics, at least we have the story in some form. Now NWFT on the other hand...

 

So is the album title The Dark Sentencer? This is rather detailed for single art.

I haven't got around to the new comics yet, purely because I wanted to make damn sure they would actually finish the storyline this time before I bought any. good to know they're quality though
