Text from the video: "Know now there is no time... Space, between the Well and unknowing Our story starts there Well within our future Yet far beyond our past In a romance between a pair of unheavenly creatures... Coheed and Cambria | Roadrunner Records | 2018" That capitalization of well is not accidental.
Fuck, guys. I am very curious where the story falls in the saga. "Far beyond our past in a romance between a pair of unheavenly creatures... Coheed and Cambria".
Yeah, pretty sure it's Sirius and Claudio meeting. It could have a very BTBAM Parallax vibe if thats the case.
I remember Sirius is the "founder of the Keywork". Claudio is Coheed and Cambria's son, correct? Where in the past story would their meetign line up?
Well, basically Sirius goes to live in the keywork to be with his dead wife (who dies in Gravity's Union) and Claudio is the crowing (C&C's son, yeah), and he blew up... everything? at the end of NWFT. NWFT is still kind of murky because we don't have any comics/accompaniment for that one yet. So basically they are the only beings assumed to still be around.
Perhaps Claudio and Sirius working together to try and re-build reality from inside the Keywork after the events of NWFT?
In this story Claudio will shoot bullets from his guitar while playing it with his teeth I sense a heavy album to contrast the last one
I don't want to look too into it, but signing with RR definitely makes me think this is going to be a heavier/darker album
Can't wait, poring over Coheed lyrics for little bits and pieces of lore is one of my favorite things. Definitely going to involve a meeting between Sirus and Claudio considering that Claudio has said this is both a continuation of Afterman and Part V. I had naively hoped that we would have more concrete NWFT story info (the comics) by the time we got this but there was no chance of that with the long gap between IKS and GA's comics. Still, unbelievably hyped to hear what this record sounds like and to read way too much into every single lyric of a single.
They were at Applehead recording the album, so it looks like it'll be Birnbaum and Bittner producing again
I'm cool with this as long as the production is similar across the album. Afterman was great, but I really wish they had stuck to a production choice. It almost sounds like a compilation because some songs sound so different production wise than others. Domino and Vic are two examples.
Can't believe it's already been three years since TCBTS. Man, I have not done shit in my life since then.
Yep, or NWFT. I'm really a fan of the vocal production on NWFT. I feel like GA:I got a little overproduced and layered at points on vocals.
