You know what would go great with these new shows? A repress of the records on vinyl.

We reach for the longest shadow

I have never flown anywhere specifically for a concert... these might change that.

Of sugar and ice I am made

Going to Red Rocks has always been a dream of mine, but after my last concert experience I'm thinking that maybe the idea of a show is better for me than actually attending.

Are Circa and Coheed headlining different days? Or are they playing both days?

I assume both days because I also assume Coheed is playing one album per day.

Yeah I can't quite figure out what's up with how the two days work

  12. Coheed and Cambria announces two new special events -- the two day Neverender Festival at The Observatory Festival Grounds and the one day Neverender Rocks at the Red Rocks Amphitheater -- under the “Neverender” alias that the band has long used to designate special events, tours, and cruises. In 2010, the band performed their first four albums over 4 nights each in NYC, Chicago, LA and London. Since then, the band has toured albums under the name, set sail on 3 separate cruises, and now their own festival.

Neverender Festival will take place on October 3rd and 4th in Santa Ana, CA at the Observatory Festival Grounds, where they will perform one of their most revered albums, The Afterman. The fan-favorite double album was released across fall of 2012 and winter of 2013 and will be performed at Neverender Festival alongside co-headliners Circa Survive, who just announced a return after a 6-year hiatus, Sunny Day Real Estate, Turnover, Pup, Thursday, La Dispute, Destroy Boys, Hail the Sun and many more.

This fall, Coheed are also bringing Neverender Rocks to the historic Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, CO on Sept 29th, where the band will also perform The Afterman alongside special guests Turnover and The Home Team.

Both shows go on sale this Friday at 10AM local time in each market. Fans who have signed up to their newsletter will have early access to the events. More info and full lineups below.

I doubt it, both albums together is about the same as GA:1. Both albums both nights with a 2-3 song encore that might switch each night if I had to guess.

I just assumed that was why they had that other show with a much smaller lineup where they'd play both albums together.

We reach for the longest shadow

It'd be a weird way to go about it, since each album is under 40 minutes, but it would give them an opportunity to mix in a lot of other songs too.

Want to make it clear I'm deliberately using the word assume because I'm an asshole. Getting ahead of the game.

I'd hope a festival run by Coheed themselves wouldn't be as terrible an experience as other festivals

Gravity’s Union top 5 Coheed songs, I’ll hear no arguments otherwise
