Interesting. I would be really curious to hear how it all went down. Who set the numbers for the limited edition? I know when things were going haywire, they placed the blame on their "partners" for underestimating demand. Personally, I just want a re-pressing of the Afterman. I slept on that record so hard because of my distaste for YotBR. I have kicking myself ever since.
I can't get over how good it is. I was in the middle of law school when it came out, so that is my excuse for letting it slip by unnoticed, but I really hate that I missed out on that time.
I doubt there will be SSTB repress anytime soon. GA IV was never pressed, so that plus the tour are the reasons why we got this now.
I mean, I'm not holding my breath. Im aware of the reason we got GA, but hopefully Equal Vision will take notice of the demand for Coheed's earlier discography and that it goes down a little smoother than this one. That said, glad I finally got Good Apollo.
That's awesome. My buddy that went to the Atlanta show said he saw a long line and like, two copies of vinyl ha.
Yeah. From what I've read, the last people who have any chance at them are gold. GA have no chance. Bummer. I liked the look of the tour exclusive.
There's the tour pressing. I really like it. Tonight was by far my favorite time seeing them. This is the best they've ever sounded live, and hearing all of the Willing Wells was an unreal experience. Coheed will always be my favorite band and I'm just so happy right now.
Those are sick and I hate it that I couldn't get the tour or the RSD variant; especially since I love that album so much. I only had GA tickets so I didn't have a chance. I hate having material possession envy haha. At least I have the red/white 2000 pressing......... I wonder what color the Amazon pressing is?
How has the stage show been this year? From photos I have seen it seems kinda meh compared to In Keeping Neverender. Nothing will top when I saw them first tour for GA1 with The Blood Brother, mewithoutYou, and Dredge, they have a massive guillotine from the album art.
I thought it was pretty cool. They have three big vertical screens that show various videos and images during the set. A tad bit toned back compared to the IKSOSE:3 Neverender.
I believe they'll be recording after this tour. Album is going back into the Amory Wars as well, there's a few interviews floating around with Claudio talking about it.
yeah, apparently it is Sirius Amory (main character of Afterman) coming back after the events of No World for Tomorrow. Seems like there could be some despair/anger in that scenario. i want some angry coheed in my life again.
I'm very excited to see the direction they go in both musically and story wise with it. Picked up the SSTB Ultimate Edition on this tour, read through that and IKS. Also read the first two issues of Good Apollo, so I'm pretty excited for the rest of this series to come out.
They've been actively demoing, stuff is all over instagram etc. I think 2018 will probably be the release year (early)
I think these guys have quality albums still to come...so stoked to see what they cook up after a break from the storyline
I think this next album will be special. I can see them being really reinvigorated after this GA tour, and diving back into the sci-fi theme. I'm extremely excited to hear what's to come.
