Hey, I’m Blind Side Sonny Here to give you the news The kind you won’t like cause it involves you You want to take me, take me for all I got Well, you got to catch me Are you ready of not? Decide once and for all Is it trouble you want? Cause he in your lies You’re only going to get caught And now you’re going to face Your biggest fear Your a$$ is no longer welcome here Blood We want blood, we want blood Yeah, yeah, yeah Give us some Go on Give me some Go on give me your tears Know this for a fact I will not hear Your retaliation doesn’t mean sh.. Go on give me a myriad of reasons I’ve had to relive through the times Of all the unpleasantries and crimes Used up all of your nine lives Don’t fool yourself, Sonny Now you’re living in mine Blood We want blood, we want blood Yeah, yeah, yeah Give us some Dancing through a mental breakdown I find I am always met with doubt I’ll show my baby I can Change to become something better But the work I put in isn’t what I get out… Blood We want blood, we want blood Yeah, yeah, yeah Give us some
This new song does nothing for me, unfortunately. It's the opposite of why I fell in love with C&C in the first place. Oh well.
Absolutely wild. MCR vibes for sure. Not what I expected for the lead single off the next album at all haha
One of my favorite things about coheed is that their best songs couldn't be done by anyone else. This isn't one of those songs.
woof, don't like this. hope Gerard gets royalties for all his vocal mannerisms they borrowed here lol
Thought for sure I wasn't going to like this based on the previous comments, but no. I fuck with this hard. If I can't have my proggy epics, I'll take a speedy fucker over their poppy stuff any day of the week.
I’m glad they’re always trying new things even if it doesn’t work for some. Rather them take chances then grow stagnant but this rips it’s been stuck in my head all morning lol
Yeah kudos to them for finding ways to keep pushing their sound into new territories for them and trying to keep things fresh
I remember thinking Shoulders sounded super different and “not like Coheed” when that came out too, now I think it’s perfect on that album and one of their best singles. Could see myself coming around to this in a similar way.
I think the guitar work in this just bores me which is a shame because I think Claudio sounds incredible on this song. Shoulders was an instant hit for me, so I don't think this will have the same trajectory
Just listened to the podcast - new album out "top of next year" per Claudio Claudio wrote BSS in Paris
Song was fine. It’s a fun teaser for the new album. I’m excited for the single with the huge chorus that is likely coming next.
I think Claudio stated that this next album is going to be measurably darker than the brightness/hopefulness of Vaxis II, saying it’s his Empire Strikes Back of the series. BSS makes more sense as an intro to this, and a great intro to this if that’s the case
