I like SSTB is 3rd from the bottom, with only YOTBR and TCBTS behind it for the reasons you bring up.
if you didn’t remove it from the context of “doesn’t hold up as well as some of their other stuff” it wouldn’t look so bad. obviously SSTB holds up. obviously clarity holds up. obviously full collapse holds up. in all those cases I would take the vast majority (if not all for Thursday) of the albums that came after them even to this day. just how I feel about it you can cancel me all you want. go ahead and cancel me that’s just my opinion if you don’t like it you can go right ahead and just cancel me for it. I don’t care if I get cancelled for saying those bands had better albums after their first breakout cult classic that’s just my opinion
I’m sorry I’m completely tik tok brained there’s this guy who goes into game lobbies and says you can just go ahead and cancel me for that for the dumbest shit and I die every time I see it. Anyway.
SSTB rules, but I get why someone would have it lower in their rankings. It’s extremely front-heavy and I do think they went on to do bigger and better things
33 and Neverender are the only songs in the back half that I love and I’d still take three of the first five songs on the album over them
Good Apollo 1 In Keeping Secrets Vaxis II Color Before The Sun YOTBR Good Apollo 2 SSTB Ascension Descension . . . . . . . . . . . . Vaxis 1 Vaxis 1 makes me physically angry. Honestly, I don't know how to rank Color, Rainbow, Apollo 2, SSTB, Asc, Des.........
I’ve been listening these guys a lot lately after all this ranking talk. I’ve always really struggled to rank Coheed’s albums. I know Good Apollo 1 is my favorite. But beyond that it always got murky. I’m going to try to rectify that with some serious listening. I’ll leave this as a placeholder, but so far I know this: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness Afterman In Keeping Secrets No World for Tomorrow Vaxis 1 Second Stage Turbine Year of the Black Rainbow Still too early for me to confidently rank Vaxis II.
I thought this said least favorite and had a heart attack. I’d agree if not for Vaxis I. Both Vaxis albums are in the top half of my rankings easy. Can’t wait for the next part.
I may have exaggerated a bit. I really just never liked that record that much. And it's wild to me too because I should like it.
I’m gonna hire a private spec ops team to come extract you and put you in a torture chamber where you’re forced to listen to it
