How the hell was this not how the album was originally released???? These songs are fantastic

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

they might’ve made these after the album was finished, they're not necessarily b-sides

Alright I am pleasantly surprised that Yuko was actually the weakest here. These are interesting at worst and fantastic at best.

Yeah kinda annoyed how they went about this personally. I think I would have preferred they were originally on the record or just release it as an ep next year to tide us over for Vaxis IV.

    No Fun. Not Ever.

Forgot these were coming out. Loving Melvin a lot. For being 6+ minutes, you'd think maybe they could've done a little bit more with Peter.

It's not that I don't understand what you're saying, but there's something about complaining about getting more music that feels...

I've got all 10 of these set up in a playlist for when I get home, so hype

not the best at roman numerals, it's interesting that Meri is apparently the latest chronologically

  10. i just did that too. Planning to revisit the Afterman books while I'm at it those album cycles were so fun.

Oh I’m definitely acting privileged and annoying I agree. I’m just venting

  12. Album proper rules, extended edition songs rule. What a fun run this band's been on lately.

    LIVER ALONE!

Bonus tracks are great. Peter The Wishing is really special.

Melvin absolutely rips. YOU'RE GONNA HAVE THE TIME OF YOUR LIFE WITH ME, MOTHERFUCKER

wow Peter feels like a totally different type of song for them, almost grungey. heavy stuff I love it

Shiloh is weird as hell lmao but it fits in the tradition of songs like Hollywood. really fun little drop overall I'm happy with it

I’m very curious as to when these songs came about.

And I would very much like to own them on vinyl, but don’t want to double dip necessarily. So I hope they are eventually offered as a separate EP of sorts. But I’m not necessarily expecting that.

These songs are sick. Wouldn't trade them for any of the tracks that initially made the album, but they are such great adds.

pleasantly surprised that Yuko is the weakest of the 4. These extra songs go hard. For as slow and kind of straight forward as Peter is, its surprisingly interesting with some of the beats Josh throws in there and the guitar riffs. this band continues to be amazing

... if these ARE b-sides, they are some of the best ones Coheed's done. Like Jason said, a generational run. This puts Vaxis 3 close to the runtime of Vaxis 1 and I think this is more consistent quality.

EDIT: Just caught some mentions of "butcher" in Shiloh, so that's some fun continuity with Vic, similar production style too.

Band is on an all timer right now. The Vaxis albums have totally reinvigorated them and it’s been so great to see.

How lucky are we to have this band just absolutely dominating this far into their career?

I slept from basically NWFT to this latest album. These new tracks are so good. I heard some of Afterman 1 and liked it. Didn’t like Black Rainbow or Color before the Sun at the time. But after seeing them last month I really just wanna dive into everything again.

I’m team “YOTBR is better than people give it credit for” but I would wear out the rest of the discog before revisiting TCBTS, aside from Atlas.
