    i think im pretty firmly in 3 > 1 > 2.
Vaxis 1 has some amazing songs, but it suffers from too many repeated choruses, and a couple kind of unmemorable trudge songs throughout. its also just too long
Vaxis 2 has the ending trio of songs which are incredible, and some other good ones, but some absolute duds and the middle of the album is really weak. Shoulders through Our Love (with the exception of Liars Club) is a really weak string of Coheed songs.
Vaxis 3 doesnt have the incredible highs of The Gutter and WOTWM. but its just consistently good from start to finish. Even the slower/acoustic songs (which I think is something Coheed has historically not done well) are solid. and while the high points on the album arent 10/10 moments, theyre still 8.5 or 9/10. Sonny is my least favorite song on the album and its only 2:30 so i can live with it, plus I can see how it would be good live.

This is very close to my Vaxis take, other than me not loving WOTWM (or Continuum 4).

I'm torn on ranking V3 vs. V1. The total runtime of material I enjoy on V1 may be slightly longer, but there's also more filler. Also slightly frustrating that the tracklist on V1 almost intentionally bounces back and forth between styles, meaning there aren't any great sustained stretches like Continuum 1-3. Hell, even the two tracks I really like on V2 are back-to-back.

3>1>>2 works for me, but it could be 1>3>>2 after the novelty wears off.

I need more time with V3. I love V1 once you trim the fluff songs. I love V2 if you kill off Our Love and WOTWM.

V3 I need more time with. I think the top 8 or so is as good as anything on V1 or V2. The ones I dislike though, i dislike alot.

I can see why people might not like the theatrical nature of WOTWM or Continuum 4, but man, I really love them, especially WOTWM. I dont want an entire album of that sound, but as a single song, it really works for me.

WOTWM hate is wild to me that’s a top tier Coheed song

Listening to WOTWM, the song, yesterday dawned on me the similarities between it and So It Goes, including the actual lyric “so it goes” being in both haha

AWOTWM and So It Goes are definitely some of my least favorite tracks on Vaxis.

Think I'm pretty firmly in the 2 > 3 > 1 camp, but 2 might legitimately be my favorite Coheed record.

At this time, I would also go 2>3>1. This might change with more time spent with 3.

1 has some of Claudio's best melodies ever and one of their best prog-length tunes (The Dark Sentencer) but the bloat really drags down the listening experience. The highs of 2 and 3 are career-defining, IMO.

Started a Vaxis playthrough just now, I may have to change my ranking haha.
Vaxis I starts off so strong, and probably will have the highest highs across the trilogy, but mannnnn does this thing kinda drag on towards the middle. Shaving off Queen of the Dark, Night Time Walkers and All on Fire would've made this album a lot easier to digest.

Don’t like the last song on Vaxis 2 and So It Goes is probably my least favorite song on this one

I definitely feel like I'm in the minority, it's just not my preferred Coheed style. The whole "Who says you gotta rush to get old?" refrain is incredibly catchy though, I do love that part.

I'm going 2>3>1. 1 has some really good songs, but there's also more of it that drags for me than on the next two. 3 is incredibly consistent, but it's lacking the highs that I get from 2.

cutting Night Time Walkers is absolute blasphemy but yeah I could live without Queen and All on Fire, maybe even Lucky Stars

Well, they did it. They just put out the album of the year. I didn't think they could reach these heights again. Honestly I had almost given up on them. Last show I went to was the first time I thought they just phoned it in. This album is probably their best work since in keeping secrets. Its got everything you could want. I got to give Josh credit, he has reached a whole new level on this album. Yeah Claudio you are still a musical genius, and Travis what can I say, you brought it this time. Go do yourself a favor and go get this album people.

Claudio said that they're turning the Amory Wars comics into full novels apparently. this album has me so back on board that I am stoked as hell for this

I'm pretty intrigued by this. Novels are much more speed as a medium and I would definitely buy however many books this ends up being.

my accountant Ten Speed (of God's Blood and Burial) can handle that for you

also Play the Poet is really sneaking up on me, still don't love the verses but the breakdown knocked me sideways this morning

Anyone know the melody immediately after So It Goes, before the little twinkling melody and Paratethal?

I see people calling it the Old Flames motif but I don't hear it, yet I feel like I recognize it still
