If you're cramming for a show, maybe a greatest hits kinda thing first rather than a full album? Then after the show, full albums

    His Drumeo episode was excellent.

Coheed touring only small venues and only playing songs from the suites (trying to speak this into reality)

Starting with YOTBR might be tough too

Ironic because it's the beginning of the story.

It’d be like having someone watch The Phantom Menace for their first Star Wars movie.

I think The Flood might be my early favorite, I absolutely love the verses

Yeah I think this just convinced me to make the 2.5 hour drive to see them in Syracuse

    He came, he saw.

Just sat here imagining Tethered Together in a live setting.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

this really does feel like Afterman 3 the more I listen to it. callbacks to Domino and Pretelethal all over the joint but nothing from the previous Vaxis releases that I've caught so far (feels weird not hearing the Old Flames melody anywhere on here)

you've even got the somewhat abrupt heavy songs right in the middle with Holly Wood/Blind Side Sonny. to be clear this is not a critique, in fact it's reminding me how much I love Ascension

I feel like the title track isn’t getting enough love. Claudio goes in on that one

Probably the only disappointment I have with this album, I was eagerly anticipating it for the whole first playthrough haha

Whether intentional or not, there’s a little riff in The Flood that sounds just like the intro to In The Flame Of Error.

This album is so damn good. Everything i wanted from a coheed album. Spent the weekend driving from Philly to boston blasting it, saw receiving end of sirens Friday and Saturday, then blasted it again on the way back. Release timed perfectly.

Gimme light, gimme love, gimme fire

Just spun the record for the first time. That kick drum is damn near lethal!

The Omni-Voice Side D is just a soundscape of a bunch of spaceship noises and light score. Think of there was a live microphone in the halls of the Nostromo from Alien.

I listened through both Vaxis II and III today, and my main takeaway is that III might be better than I’m currently giving it credit for. Once I get more familiar with it I only see it getting better.
