The Flood is probably my favorite of the Continuum suite. A good mix of melodic and technical.
Welcome to Forever Mr Nobody is cool but its hella chaotic.
EDIT - ok, fuck. on 2nd listen, Tethered Together is my favorite Continuum. Zach didnt have to go so hard on this song, but im glad he did. LOL

I enjoyed Vaxis 2, but this is much better

 

Tbh I was ready to let go of this band after Vax2, but the musical ideas here are almost a 180 from my expectations... thick, guitar driven, chaotic, and above all actually interesting. This producer still needs to go away forever, but aside from that this is quite a bounce back for me.

 

Anyone else annoyed by the way these albums are named on Spotify? First The Unheavenly Creatures, then Vaxis II, and now The Father of Make Believe lol. Like why not all Vaxis I, II, III or all the subtitle, I want consistency! lol.

Another reason that buying albums > streaming

 

Was just complaining to my wife about this. She was like "what part of the story is The Unheavenly Creatures?"I heaved the biggest sigh and went into a Larry David-style rant on the horrible naming conventions on streaming. I am glad she still loves me and is just as excited about the album as I am.

 

After II being labeled II I figured we would continue down that route but of course not. Can't wait for IV to put up the numbering again cause of course it will

 

If Blind Side Sonny is the worst song on the album, that’s a fucking banger of an album.

 

others might have other opinions, but i didnt love that song. its fine but just kinda repetitive. and the rest of the album slaps.

 

Searching for Tomorrow is great!

 

The first 2 vaxis were much more immediate for me, I’m hoping this is a grower

 

It’s so good to know I am hours away from a new Coheed album.

 

I actually really like Continuum IV, very cool song.

 

Honestly there wasn't really anything I didn't enjoy on this one. Coheed is usually a band that grows on me with time too so I'm looking forward to spending some time with this and seeing where it ends up.

 

Someone who got the vinyl confirmed that “The Omni Voice” listed as the only track on side D is indeed a song, though they haven’t posted what it sounds like.

They seemed pretty clueless when someone asked what they were talking about, and basically said, “oh yeah, I can tell by looking it’s something, but I don’t have time to listen right now”

Haven’t checked out the singles a whole lot by choice. Just revisited Someone Who Can and Searching for Tomorrow just now. So hyped on both those tracks

Got a 7 hour drive tomorrow night, looking forward to blasting this

 

I haven't even listened to all the singles, so I'm going in very fresh tomorrow morning.
