As of Math Rock, I would try the latest And So I Watch You From Afar album - its all instrumental, but its one of the biggest sounding records from that year

Really interesting conversation in here right now, I also have trouble distinguishing them sometimes so it's cool to hear other takes.

Also, Fortress is the GOAT.

 

Fortress was a pretty life changing album for 15-16 year old me. I had never heard a band be that heavy and technically proficient (I was just learning how to play guitar) while also maintaining such a good sense of melody.

 

Fortress and TFOT's Manipulator were the 2 albums that redefined what I thought a guitar could do when I was that age

 

Hope everything goes well and he makes a full recovery. Such a scary moment but I’m glad they seem to have it figured out.

 

I hope everything goes well. Josh knows he's been given a 2nd chance and really seems to down to earth and grateful for everything the band has afforded him.

The bridge of It Walks Among Us is one of my favorite parts of the album. His vocal delivery is captivating during this section:

The video in general was awesome but the Doom Guy pose towards the end got me on the floor. Best christmas gift ever, Coheed.
