That’s just not even close to true. I mean fucked up released an excellent album that’s longer on the same day as coheed

 

Yeah I’m agreeing with Sophos. I know plenty of albums this long that I love. Starset’s Vessels is only 10 minutes shorter and it’s one of my favorites

 

This album might be too long but it's hard to say atm

 

IKS and NWFT

 

IKS and GAIBSIV, but that’s not a knock on this record at all.

 

Good Apollo is easily my favorite, with IKS as my second. The rest would be hard to rank.

 

this album is def too long and poorly paced. unfortunately every song is pretty great

 

Idk if the majority of songs are good on a long album I rarely count it as a weakness. No ones forcing you to listen in one sitting, I just pick up where I left off last time or once I’m familiar with an album start wherever I feel like (often the beginning if it starts off hot).

 

And when it comes to bands that make concept albums the way coheed does long albums are to be expected. Same with fucked up. It’s kind of the point of their records

 

idk it kinda gets in the way of it feeling like an album to me

it’s still great

 

I’ll still listen front to back in one sitting when I can, and the first handful of times to get familiar. It’s really no different than how I end up listening to most albums once I’m familiar enough

 

it’s just every song is like an enormous extroverted hook machine and it doesn’t really divert from that mood at all. so it doesn’t flow like an album to me

 

I’m not familiar with this yet to the degree where I can judge the pace either. It seems fine to me but some of these songs definitely end up bleeding together. But there’s enough to distinguish between them at the same time that I’ve been able to pull out a pretty decent chunk of favorites just off two listens.

 

Ohhhh that’s actually a fair criticism and I agree with it as I said in my last post to an extent

 

I basically only listen to music in my car and I drive a lot. I’ll listen to a whole album throughout the day. When I get into the car, I always start the song I left off on over again.

It’s really good in hindsight, but I was initially let down. It wasn’t as “epic” as good Apollo. I wanted The End Completes to rival the willing wells. Looking back on it now, I adore it for what it is.

 

Night-Time Walkers is extremely my shit.

 

I remember when it first came out I was a little let down with NWFT.......but I appreciate it a lot more now.

 

Feathers is maybe my favorite song by this band

 

I loved their video. I saw it right after I watched Sweeny Todd for the first time.
