Why does that matter for this band?

    Keeping Secrets: 70 minutes
    Good Apollo 1: 72 minutes
    Good Apollo 2: 60 minutes
    Afterman: 83 minutes

78: number of planets in Heaven’s Fence. Maybe the user just thought it was too long, but that’s what I thought of when I saw 78, coincidence or not.

I'm excited because last time I got pumped for an 8 minute single release the album ended up being Ascension, which is great, but Domino had me hoping for... 15 songs and 78 minutes of prog action.

Bloody Disgusting is claiming standard preorders and a new song are coming next Friday.

"The sprawling fifteen track, self-produced, 78-minute epic finds Coheed and Cambria returning to the conceptual narrative of The Amory Wars. Today the band has launched pre-orders for the album’s deeply immersive Vaxis – Act 1: The Unheavenly Creatures Limited Edition Deluxe Box Set. Pre-orders for The Unheavenly Creatures standard album will begin Friday, June 29th, with new music from the forthcoming LP arriving next week."

Standard pre-orders was mentioned in a few articles.
This is the first I'm seeing of a new song, though.

Replayed Dark Sentencer again and completely forgot about the time motif at the end. Had full fucking Ghost Adventures-style goosebumps at work.

No doubt this will be album of the year. Coheed is without question the most musically gifted band in the workd

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

really really hoping one of standard bundles has the full book with a CD or vinyl and no extras. kind of doubt it though. why put up the limited edition a week earlier when we don't even know the other options to choose yet?

Probably because these are going to take longer to produce. They’ve always had a rough go with QC issues with these things, which I would guess is why it got announced 3 1/2 months in advance.

I think he mixed only that record. Birnbaum and Bittner recorded and produced.

i guess i’m just kinda loling out of surprise, they’ve never quite approached total cd capacity in this way. i also think good apollo 1 is... a little too long

  22. The new song sounds really good. I’m excited to hear this and I haven’t really been into anything they’ve done in years.

The real question is will this new album be referred to as "Vaxis" like Good Apollo or "Unheavenly Creatures" ala No World for Tomorrow?
