I talked a lotta mess about TBS being boring and predictable this was one of the best damn shows ive seen them play thank goodness for them. Wow.
Great show last night. Best TBS performance in years for me and Coheed was great as well. Venue was super shitty though. It was so loud and the mix was so muddled the farther back you were that I could really hear anything.
Not a fantastic venue overall i agree, i was right off the stage in the first section of seats and the sound wasnt even great. My second time there, saw frank turner and flogging molly there 2 years ago, same issues.
Anyone here coming to Chicago's show? Is there a free parking lot there? I've never been there before...
I will be there. I believe you gotta pay: Huntington Bank Pavilion Parking | Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island| Chicago, Illinois
If you don't know about it, I'd recommend using SpotHero to reserve parking for cheap. I believe its available in Chicago. I use it in Boston all the time and have saved a bunch on parking over the past few years. For example, event parking could be like $25-30 and SpotHero will offer stuff for $15 or less within a 0.5 mile radius of the venue depending on availablility (or whatever radius you choose). Also this isn't an ad, I just really like SpotHero and telling people about it haha
Taking back Sunday sounded flawless last night. 3rd summer in a row seeing them and easily their best performance.
Hearing that TBS (read: Adam) has been sounding great on this tour has me excited for the Chicago show tonight. I know Coheed is gonna slay.
I'm PT-ing it in today, fuck anything to do with parking in the loop/near lake shore drive/on the island
I decided to park about a mile from there with SpotHero and just walk there or take the bus I'll be leaving super early though (coming from Skokie)
So TSSF are not good this tour? Saw tickets were being sold super cheap for the show tonight but my main draw was them and TBS. Sucks if they aren't worth seeing on this tour and may influence my decision.
Seeing them live will make you want to... their show is always amazing and this is the perfect setlist for that
I'm not a Coheed fan at all besides Welcome Home and The Suffering but I'm really excited to watch them on Sunday after hearing how good they are from everyone
They are too good live. I used to hate them...now I have a coheed tattoo and tomorrow will be my sixteenth show.
Saw the tour last night. I thought TSSF sounded really good. As others have mentioned, their performance is not particularly exciting, and the singer stands either with his hands behind his back or (needlessly) shaking a tambourine the entire time. But the band played a long, tight set. The crowd was pretty into as welll, with a good number of crowd surfers and some spontaneous bouncing around. As long as you’re not expecting a club show, I think it’d be worth it to get early and up close.
i live really close to northerly island and notice tickets are cheap on stubhub so i was debating on snagging. who plays first between coheed and tbs? is it a switch off sort of thing?
