This was a total blast. Pretty mellow crowd, I think ETID had the most moshing but even then it was pretty minimal. Every band killed it though, even as the shitty weather came on for Coheed’s set. Mastodon were unreal, the visuals they have going on are a trip lol
I'm going to the Denver show tonight. Everywhere online says show starts at 6. Seems really early for ETID to start though.
they were on at 6:30 in MN. everyone plays a decently long set, so the early-ish start times make sense.
Sucks that my show is on weeknight. Luckily I'll have off the next day since it's on July 3rd, but getting to the venue in time for ETID is gonna be rough. They're easily my favorite of the 3 bands, although I dig all 3 acts.
My show is on Saturday and ETID goes on at 5:40 (!). But the venue is inside of a huge local park, so my guess would be they have a noise curfew.
Some pix from last night. Venue is behind the batters eye of Petco Park the MLB ballpark. Building in the right is the iconic part of the stadium
That’s so rad. I hit up Petco a few times as a kid for some Padres games. Seeing a show there would be dope
The Dallas show was great last night. A beer vendor got in the pit during ETID and threw a beer onstage to Keith which he (almost) caught. Hope the guy didn't get in trouble, because shortly after, another dude (possible security) came and got the dude and escorted him out of the pit. Mastodon was amazing. They sounded great. Played tight. The visuals were on another level. They pulled out Bladecatcher at the end which was insane. I like Coheed enough, but really only the first couple of albums ever interested me, so based on their setlist this tour, I decided not to stick around for them
