This is okay. Some parts of it I was really into, but there were a lot of very jarring moments that I just wasn't expecting and threw the vibe off for me. Gonna spend more time with this though to see if my opinion changes.
There's plenty of bands that I know are incredible that I just don't "get", it frustrates me because I wish I could love all dope stuff lol
I feel this a lot. Not to get too off topic, but for some reason the first two that come to my head are The National and Deafheaven, haha
The more I listen to this, the more it reminds me of Dillinger Escape Plan, just in the way they juxtapose absolute chaos with grungy alt rock. The first half of A Sliver in particular sounds like something they'd do.
That's an incredibly cool and great idea also, I'm in love with album. love the RnB, trappy(?) influence in the chorus of the Easy Way
If Linkin Park came out now, they'd probably be doing a shit, watered down version of this in three or four years time.
