No doubt in my mind this record (is this from a new record?) will have some super heavy stuff on it too
a bunch of the yt comments are comparing this to powerman 5000 and i have to agree lol i don’t mind it as a standalone
Considering I got Machine Head going buttrock vibes from a few songs of the latest album, I'm not too surprised by this single. It's just... there for me. Kinda forgettable.
This bangs so hard. It's going to be a good day when I have jumped from Taylor Swift, to Silk Sonic, and to this all in the same morning. I love music so much.
haha this might be it. I couldn't peg it while listening but this is it. Also heard some Rob Zombie. Also I'm pretty sure they're 100% in on the joke here. Still have faith a new full length from them will rule.
“We’re so far from the future, moving fast and moving backwards.” They know exactly what they are doing and they’re killing it.
Exactly. I also think that they know that the mainstream appeal of a song like this greatly outnumbers/outweighs the discourse from the niche of people that have time/care enough to comment that they don't like the song on Youtube.
I don’t even really get the surprise or discourse around this song. “The Easy Way” from the last record was definitely more “butt rock” or whatever than this song is, and that song rules too
Roadrunner podcast discussing Forever with Jami. A lot of cool insight into the making of the record. Meep Meep Podcast on Apple Podcasts
Just saw them for the first time in Seattle, they are absolutely incredible live. I can't believe they pulled off so much of this record live.
Pretty wild show and definitely a weird way to see them. Pit was only 300 cap and I’d say about 95% of people didn’t know that there were two hardcore bands on the show. Code Orange opened with My World and all of these people in the pit area freaked out, a handful of hardcore dudes were throwing down and moving and I just don’t think any of the “regular” people who were there for all the rappers have been to a show before. There was a girl on the barricade who was plugging her ears with her fingers and squeezing her eyes shut. Overall Code Orange sounded really good, better than I’ve ever seen them before, and the set was solid for the 25 minutes they had. Knocked Loose was cool too but I don’t think they sounded as good, and the set was a little odd. I’m glad I went but it was pretty crazy. Ski Mask pit was also insane, and Suicideboys were actually kind of boring to be honest. Crowd also didn’t go nearly as hard for them as they did for $not and Ski.
