I personally like Code Orange more than Power Trip but coming from a legacy standpoint with what happened, yea I can't be mad if they took it. Also undeniably the most "metal" of the songs nominated, so it would make those types happy too.

Listening to this record for the first time with headphones. Are there moments in this that truly sound like your earbuds are loosing bluetooth connection in and out? I know there are stylistic glitches here, but I feel there are other moments where it feels, wrong(?). [like In you and You Alone).

EDIT: Dammit I think my AirPod pros are cutting in and out :verysad:

You'd have to pinpoint where you think so. I do think the mix is too claustrophobic at times which means it can sound a little harsh. I realised that in their first live stream when the guitar on (I think) cold.metal.place suddenly jumped out at me, given the extra space to stand out.

A year tomorrow this record came out. Still love it.

I don't really care what my first gig is when they come back but if I was able to pick, it would be this band, no hesitation.

This album set the tone and defined the past year for me. Really good. Glad they have got a ton of press for everything they’ve done, and can’t wait to see them back in action on tour. Would love another small venue show but I assume they’re just gonna get bigger at this point.

Yeah, they were the only one I was actively rooting against. Enjoy the other four to varying degrees.

CO/PT would have been my pick.

I heard slipknot was gonna crank out a tour in the fall or winter. Wonder if they’ll be apart of it?

Definitely a tour and definitely excited to finally see this band again. I’d maybe imagine they want to headline their own tour rather than act as support with being a year removed from Underneath, but I guess it’s whatever makes sense with routing and money. Still also don’t know how big the band will draw on their own and I follow them hella closely.
