The guy from OM&M is probably just jealous
tbh. Code Orange stay heavy af and get nominated for a Grammy, whereas his band go radio rock and don't.

 

I totally read OM&M dude's tweet as a random shower or toilet thought. Good to see Code Orange being goofballs with odd hosility in return though.

Pretty sure the adult swim thing is up now. Track is unavailable in Canada though so I can't be sure.

Wow I super dig that. They keep bringing quality while being able to change things here and there, always great when a band can achieve that.

 

the production is weird, the synthy noisy industrial bits aren't blended well at all

This song is Kurt Ballou's production short of being good. Yip really dropped the ball on this one. Sounds ultra tame.

 

I feel like the volume shifts a couple times too.

FWIW several other of the Adult Swim streaming singles had pretty poor audio so who knows

 

Finally got a chance to listen to the song after being on the road yesterday...it's disjointed and the songwriting needs to improve a lot IMO (less jarring transitions between the synth/industrial parts), but I don't mind the new direction they're going with this track. Whoever is singing that actually sounds pretty good. Whether this translates to material on their next release as opposed to this one off track is a different story.

 

A couple of the noisy bits toward the end could be segued better, I agree
