I still can't believe we had an argument over whether a band full of rich/well-off white dudes should get some sort of special treatment because they decided to back off from playing a festival. Nah. There are more pressing issues going on in the world right now. I know this is a thread to discuss Coachella, but I still feel my point stands.
These things happen all the time. Black Sabbath was supposed to headline Coachella 2012, Pearl Jam was gonna headline Govball 2014, Kanye for Coachella 2019, etc etc. It really isn't a big deal. And stop putting the blame on golden voice, they didn't kick them off the lineup. The two parties were negotiating a contract and in the end couldn't agree on the terms. Simple as that.
@irthesteve been listening to Mura Masa self titled and sad that he’ll mostly be playing new stuff at Coachella because I think that album is near perfect.
Yeah I definitely like that one more, but I still dig the new one in a completely different way. I'm actually curious what kind of show is going to happen, his late night performance with slowthai was amazing, and he's having a full band, so I'm pretty interested still
He's definitely going to have more of a live set than a DJ set. His summerstage show had a vocalist for all of his songs, but there will definitely be some great danceable sets from Daphni, Peggy Gou, and DJ Koze to name a few.
All the side shows I want to see are on the same day haha. Hoping I get a good schedule at the festival so I don’t need to go to any of them
Sooooooooooooooooooo ya'll are gonna kill me a wedding has gotten in the way of Weekend 2 for our group, so we are now going weekend 1. I know I just ruined the chorus party, I am sorry.
Bruh, lame ass excuse 50% of marriages end in divorce, and since I assume that won't be you and your wife, that makes it more likely that the marriage you are attending won't even last.
