Good for DJ Snake for getting on the 2nd line and being the top DJ that day. I mean, he had hit songs already but that Bieber track really skyrocketed his career!

if trends continue, then I will be extremely pleased with the main stage closeouts each night, which will make it easier to get good headliner spots.

    the xx into Radiohead
    Bon Iver into Beyonce
    Lorde into Kendrick

I just did a little look back at the last 3 years, and all times except twice, the first name on the second line goes on before the headliner, see my above post

The Interrupters did Warped Tour last summer, but that's about all I see. They're more of a 90s Fat Wreck type band anyway, though. That's not new territory for Coachella.

Especially when Coachella had Anti-Flag and Bad Religion play fairly recently.

All of the headliners are awesome, but the undercard doesn't do much for me. There's some cool stuff sprinkled throughout (Mac DeMarco, Real Estate, Car Seat Headrest and HANS ZIMMER?!), but even if this was closer to me, I don't think I'd go.

The top 3 is pretty incredible, but past that the undercard is pretty underwhelming for Coachella standards. If I didn't already buy a ticket I probably would skip this. Still, I'm excited to see:

    Radiohead
    Beyonce
    Kendrick
    The XX
    Bon Iver
    Lorde
    New Order
    Phantogram
    Banks
    Schoolboy Q
    Tycho
    Local Natives
    S U R V I V E
    Hans Zimmer (WTF?!)
    Future Islands

"Weak undercard" = probably a bunch of great bands you just aren't familiar with yet. That's one of my favorite parts about any festival. Half the time I end up more excited to see artists I only found out about because they were on the lineup than I am to see the people I was originally excited for. This is a really great lineup though overall. I'm always interested to see how this translates to Lollapalooza and other fests.

This is my 8th year, and every single year of the 8 I read a TON of comments of how weak the undercard is. If you're talking personal preference, that's fine, but I truly think the undercard is as strong as usual when you consider overall popularity, stength in each specific genre, and other factors other than personal preference. For me, I am excited about a lot this year and look forward to learning about the ones I don't know.

So far I am stoked for Radiohead, the xx, Banks, SOHN, Francis and the Lights, Sampha, Beyonce, Bon Iver, Tycho, Local Natives, Dreamcar, The Avalanches, Thundercat, Shura, Kendrick, Lorde, Porter Robinson & Madeon, Kehlani, Grouplove, Kaytranada, Tove Lo, What So Not.

Plus 4-8 I'm interested in and about 30 or so to look into

My favorite part of going to a festival is spending the months leading up to it discovering the tiny font acts.

Right now I am really enjoying Klangstof and Car Seat Headrest.

I don't want to put a damper on anything, but last time Justice were at Coachella it was one of the worst sets I had ever seen. They showed up like 20 minutes late, they had some sort of technical glitches that essetnailly sounded like a pre-recorded track skipping or topping, and they only played like, 4 songs, then got cut off early for going over their set time haha. It was a disaster honestly

  22. Friday looks decent but the other days do nothing for me. Pretty underwhelming lineup.

Having been to dozens of music festivals, I'm in the minority that thinks the less acts I wanna see, the better....gives me more time to relax at the campsite and have enough energy for the acts I actually wanna see.

I see at least 6 acts a day I'd really want to catch. If I can see them all without conflict, I'll be a happy camper.

Yeah I've learned over time that I want quality over quantity. 6 bands I REALLY want to see each day versus 3 I love and another 7 I am so-so on, I take the first option by far
