NIN, FKA Twigs and The Strokes were probably my favorites but it was an amazing weekend across the board. Doing both weekends forever

 

What's the Samia soundcheck story, how'd that happen?

 

I went into the fest when gates opened and she was soundchecking at the mojave 3 hours before her set. I was by the real bathrooms and heard her playing so I ran over. I think they were running behind or something and they were supposed to do it before gates but I got to hear her and the band run through 5 songs (she brought out blondshell too) in a completely empty Mojave with just me, my fiancée and the security guards

 

That's so wild haha, cool though

 

I've been slowly watching everything I want to see, I've made it through Friday and Saturday, will start Sunday today.

I've watched: BINI, Joyce Manor, Lykke Li, Dijon, The xx, Ninajirachi, KATSEYE, Moby, Turnstile, Holly Humberstone, Sabrina Carpenter, Disclosure (some), Ethel Cain (some), Blood Orange. Jack White, Kacey Musgraves, WHATMORE, Addison Rae, Giveon (some), Labrinth, PinkPantheress, Justin Bieber.

 

Finally back…my brain is still swimming tho ha.

highlights:

Nine Inch Noize - Is there another act 4 decades into their career that has never been uncool? They absolutely ripped.

FKA Twigs - Set of the weekend…she made EVERY pop act look poor in comparison with her dancing and live vocals. Also, the trans and ballroom representation in this show was everything…best pop set I’ve ever seen.

Those were my top two, major shout to the crowd in the Yuma Saturday night during Bieber, everyone was going so hard and giving Adam x Armin all they had.

 

Gonna go ahead and predict Olivia Rodrigo, ASAP Rocky, and Rosalia for next years headliners. I don’t even know if Rosalia is big enough to be a headliner but she should be!

 

I don't think A$AP will in part due to how his Lollapalooza set went but who knows, maybe

Olivia is very possible and I hope Rosalia would be big enough to headline, she was close to that level last time she played but after this album I feel like she absolutely could, and I'd wanna go so badly if she did

 

I didn’t hear about what happened yet. I’ll look it up. And yeah , she absolutely deserves to be a main stage headliner. Gotta think the production will be insane for LUX

 

It wasn't super controversial or anything, he just started so late that he basically only did half a set before getting cut off and also didn't sound particularly good

Ahhh, hope he will get it together then if he does end up playing

 

I still cannot get over the Rosalia remix Ninajirachi did on weekend 1 (not sure if she did it on weekend 2)

I need it on streaming so badly. Seeing Ninajirachi next week and I'm so excited

 

Haven’t heard that one yet. Watched a few songs of the set on weekend 1 but don’t remember hearing that one

 

I can see Noah Kahan being a headliner too next year

 

I don’t think next year is the year for this but at some point Metallica will call it quits (or just do whatever Slayer is doing) and when they do that I believe they’ll headline Coachella.

I could totally see Rosalia headlining. Her arena tour this year sold out in seconds, major cities doing 2 nights, and the resale is insane.
Could see a Coachella headliner be the grand finale of this album cycle

@irthesteve i watched Dijon the second weekend and idk why but his second weekend set I felt more into than what I was watching online weekend 1.

I guess maybe it was just a being there thing lol.

I also am guessing they ask Miley Cyrus to do a "Hannah Montana" set cause that sounds like something Coachella would ask to be unique.
