If you swapped Bieber for Britney Spears and they did the same style set, she would be getting DRAGGED… It was so cheesy with the fake requests at the laptop…thankfully Worship or Adam x Armin are happening during his set next weekend.
It'd be even heavier...I understand he doesn't want to acknowledge his own musical past but that set was just disrespectful to the festival itself. He had an AMAZING concept that could have been very engaging, looking back at his life as the first YouTube pop star and going from there....but he just kinda, did nothing with it. He could've examined the idea of fame and how its changed him, but he did none of that. he sat on a stool and either sang out of key, or mouthed along to the words. He had the right concept, he just had nothing of importance to say about it. ...and after watching Karol G last night...like damn, she put that production budget to USE.
Favorite set I watched on stream has to be Nine Inch Noize or FKA twigs. Forgot to finish The xx so I'll have to catch the set on Friday
I dont think the Bieber set is as bad as you're making it out to be. It really isnt any different from when Doja Cat headlined and only performed her newest album.
Ninajirachi was my favorite set I watched by far But I was burnt out by Sunday from staying up and didn't watch anything then so grain of salt
I think it just felt lazy, Doja played new music, but also put on a SHOW. He sat there at a laptop and performed for the livestream, I'm sure fans loved it but to a casual it felt very lazy. I'm a little disappointed that there's no other non-EDM options to end the festivals besides Bieber next weekend.
I would never expect Bieber to put on a show in 2026 cause that just hasn’t been his style for a while now. he could have done a little better than what he did on Saturday but expecting him to go all out like the other two headliners is probably not in the cards.
Really feels like Biebs is kinda getting a free pass from people here. Like more power to ya if you enjoyed it and I’m glad you did, that shit was pretty ho hum though and honestly kinda depressing rewatching clips of it. In his defense though, it guess it’s hard to live up to NIN basically upstaging you and everyone else on Saturday just hours earlier.
Plus it wasn’t even the worst set, there’s plenty this weekend that were worse. Like Black Flag for example
I admittedly haven't been able to fully get into Dijon on record, but this live set is pretty fucking cool. The way they are kinda set up in a round, and there's like 10 of them lol, and he sounds great. The full live sound is more my speed than the albums I think

The vocals just sounded so different to me and especially the live changing of songs I was like mehhhh. I was thinking of like half his set than half xx than straight to turnstile but now I’m like hmmm maybe half xx than get good spot for turnstile
I feel like people are just pretending the rest of Bieber’s set didn’t happen? the YouTube bit was one segment of it, the performance of stay was super high energy, MkGee coming out for daisies was cool with that low camera angle and the fireworks at the end, awesome vocal performances on glory and things you do etc I am hardening on my stance that was a good performance and ironically the “he just sat on his laptop the whole time” criticism is insanely lazy and plainly untrue kind of feels like people haven’t shaken the compulsion to shit on him no matter what he does.
Doja considers herself a visual artist and has gone on record saying she wants to be remembered for that just as much as her music; Justin's a singer who's been trying to ditch the teen popstar image for 10 years now.
It is kinda funny now that people mention how is he going to repeat it for weekend 2 cause for some they called it an intimate experience but doing it again seems kinda redundant lol.
best part was he didn’t even full screen it he wanted us to see YouTube in all its glory YouTube premium op too
