I’m getting ready for the fest finally and I’m looking at my Friday and I’m just like this isn’t fair. It’s so stupid stacked lol. I’m going to have to cut a few or do some half sets and pray they are close to each other.
WHEELS AND DEALS: On Jan. 14 BTS will announce its first tour since 2022, which is expected to consist of about 30 shows each in international and North American markets. Word is that managers HYBE offered AEG Presents the entire tour in exchange for a half-interest in Coachella (!?!), but the deal fell through, clearing the way for Live Nation to promote most of the upcoming dates. HYPE are a funny management group https://www.hitsdailydouble.com/news/live/the-count-column-2026-01-09
I'm going to start doing a deeper dive into this lineup, but if anyone has some good Saturday/Sunday recs to check out, those are my lighter days.
my cousin is busy working on the art and he said this years art is actually pretty impressive and they are ahead of schedule on it so that’s pretty cool
if you like eclectic dj sets, Yusuke yukimatsu could be a banger also post list to see what I can recommend
These are the one I don't really know, that I'll look up one by one, but any initial flags are helpful Solomun Taemin Royel Otis REZZ Fuji Kaze Adriatique Davido Boys Noize Rusowsky Yobuske Yukimatsu Green Velvet x AYYBO Luisa Sonza ZULAN Los Hermanos Flores BIA Bedouin Ceremony 54 Ultra Noga Erez Ben Sterling Blondshell Lambrini Girls Ecca Vandal Mind Enterprises Freak Slug SOSA Mahmut Orhan Riordan Die Spitz WHATMORE GENESI Yamagucci Laufey Wet Leg Subtonics Mochakk Duke Dumont Worship Armin van Buuren x Adam Beyer Gigi Perez The Rapture Suicidal Tendencies BUNT. French Police The Chats Morat Model/Actriz COBRAH Los Retros WhoMadeWho Jane Remover Roz Glitterer Carlita x Josh Baker Mestiza &friends AZZECCA LE YORA Tomora
from that list, I’m seeing Laufey, Wet Leg and Model/Actriz. of the ones I’m seeing I think you’d like Laufey. Or at least her most recent album, the second half especially has the kind of songwriting that I think you’d like!
out of this list the ones I recommend an extra check are glitterer, Jane remover, wet leg, yusuke yukimatsu, boyz noise and ceremony
This is the best way to see Yusuke Yukimatsu show off his dj skills also LAUFEY is a must she’s great live
also I call BIA the British cardi B lol she has that kind of style and I don’t see you messing with subtronics it’s like hard edm
Prioritize Ceremony and Wet Leg! Rohnert Park from Ceremony is an awesome record, as is Moisturizer from Wet Leg. Yobuske Yukimatsu sounds awesome too
When I bought my tickets I was at like 25% chance I would go, that's raised to probably like 60% chance I am going.......
Tomora - the new project from Aurora and one half of the chemical brothers, this will be their US debut Boys Noize - will play everything from acid techno to industrial, will also be performing with NIN on Friday. Hopefully this is in the Yuma or at night to set the vibe. Cobrah - aggressive queer pop, think slayyyter. Solomun - Progressive and deep house, known for really long sets that build to a peak over a period of time, easy set to lose yourself in.
weekend 2, but I have some friends going weekend 1, so I would consider finding a way to safely swap or something
