ready for that surprise warm up set from JT right before his tour starts since it’s already on the west coast
Yeah if they had the most popular artist on the planet rn playing it would’ve def helped ticket sales
There's no chance. Would be way to expensive to get him and he would be the headliner over any others on the bill, which likely would be out of their contracts.
bleachers Chappell Roan Grimes Lana Del Rey L’Imperatice Oneohtrix Point Never is the list of the I’ll check out eventually
There's some very cool under-the-radar stuff imo; Fri: Upchuck, and Narrow Head Sat: Mandy Indiana, Oneohtrix Point Never, Erika De Casier, bar italia Sun: feeble little horse (one of the best doing guitar music rn), Jockstrap, Bb Trickz
go tell that to the delusional people on inforoo and Reddit who think Tyler is the more popular artist over JT.
a artist I keep forgetting is on the lineup that I’m pretty stoked to see is Tems. She should be great
They tried to get Talking Heads. I’m not surprised they tried after the doc and them reuniting for it but I’m also not surprised Talking Heads turned it down.
Interesting read. Especially the part about No Doubt having no plans to tour further past Coachella. Aside from Talking Heads and Oasis, what would be some other big reunions Coachella would gun for?
I remember Paul Toller saying that he would make an offer for a Smiths reunion every year, and would make the whole fest vegan if they agreed…..BUT given all of Morrisseys antics over the past 5 years I would’ve assumed they lost interest. Then again, they always go after Kanye despite his track record (although I’d hope his Nazi era was the final straw)
I don't know if there any feasible reunions that would be big enough, REM is never happening, maybe Weezer with Matt Sharp but that would probably be too niche
I can’t think of headliner level acts , but just thought about The Alabama Shakes, would be a good second line reunion. Lower line reunions Against Me and Modern Baseball. Surprised they never got the reunited Bikini Kill to play. Seemed like that quintessential Coachella act that has music nerd buzz but would play to like 100 people at the fest.
