Even though my days of attending are behind me, I'm pretty much always defending the Coachella lineup year in and year out but I'm not really loving this lineup.
A lot of great stuff on here buried in a bunch of fluff. Standouts for me are Blur, No Doubt, Deftones, Tinashe, “Sublime,” Grimes, Jon Batiste, Raye, The Aquabats, Militarie Gun, Taking Back Sunday, and Jhene Aiko.
Two things after looking again: 1) The march of time is undefeated, but damn, I consider myself pretty plugged in and I don't know a whole lot of these people. I can normally get down to the bottom bottom lines and be happy but...not much. 2) Did shrinkflation hit Coachella? Sunday seems so light, and so does the festival at large when you look at it.
They’re an indie rock band who put out a really good album last year. https://forum.chorus.fm/threads/feeble-little-horse-girl-with-fish-june-9-2023.64136/
Kinda feels like they’re missing that indie in the realm of boygenius or Snail Mail or Alex G or Weyes Blood this year. Feeble Little Horse and The Beths are a cool booking though.
