I thought the rock stuff Willow did lastnight sounded pretty fucking great. I hadn’t listened to her music before, but now I def wanna check out her latest album. The non-rock stuff she did is not for me though.
best/favorite sets I saw on the stream were Rosalia, Gorillaz, Labrinth, Porter Robinson and blink-182. Also really liked Mura Masa, AG Club, IDK. Still am going to try to watch Blondie, SG Lewis, 070 Shake, Dinner Party, EARTHGANG, DRAMA, Kali Uchis, Willow, Romy and Christine and the Queens
Sad to say I had to turn Blondie off on Week 1. Incredible band who have totally lost it at this point
Blondie on weekend one went in between watchable and a train wreck. The attempt at improv with Nile kind of hurt. Harry is pushing 80!
So much of their greatness is predicated on attitude in their performance, which is one of the hardest things to sustain with age, I feel like.
Totally getcha here, and honestly I have quite an aversion to.... older artists, for lack of better term, for these reasons. On a personal kind of level, I appreciate that Debbie Harry is out there still having a blast and playing Coachella, huge props to her and the band, but from a pure musical standpoint they just aren't there anymre
The subreddit thinks Taylor swift is playing since she has no April dates next year for her international run of dates
I say I'll go to Coachella every year and never do. But holy shit if Taylor and Rage are the top 2...
I cannot imagine how wild the camping situation would be at the Coachella Stage if Taylor Swift played.
For non-Taylor fans this would also be very attractive. If people camp at Main all day it’d probably be pretty easy to get close for all the other stages.
I have the torrent up for it, but it's not loading. It shows seeds though, so I'll leave it up for a while and eventually I am sure it'll come through. I'll keep an eye out and let ya know
