The top portion is all the ones I know and the bottom portion is the suggested one from friends and stuff.
just being able to go to the beer lounge near main stage and chill and get food and internet was so damn nice it was always empty
1. Ticket price increases 2. Post-COVID hesitancy 3. Post-COVID influx of tours of shows 4. Unconventional headliners 5. An undercard that requires a deeper dive than usual
Makes sense, but not sure I’d include 2 and 3. Last year had no issues selling out immediately right after coming out of the peak of Covid. I think they overestimated the pull of the headliners, especially when two of them have played 7 arena shows in the SoCal area in the last 6 months.
It’s weird because bad bunny fans would shell out like $500 to see him in an arena but yet this won’t sell out especially because this could be his only US show for the year same with Frank but yeah I think if they had one more truly solid headliner over Blackpink it would have sold out
You could argue anyone who was willing to do that would've done that last year though and with no new album they may feel like they can't justify it again especially when you add all the additional costs and camping and such. Blackpink fans probably skew a little younger and less likely to be willing to camp out Frank fans are scared to bet it all on a 3 day weekend since he (fairly or not) has a reputation for last minute cancellations.
I think I most likely would do 1 more year of this just in hopes of Rihanna and Rage Against doing next year but yeah buying during the first pre-sale would be preferred easily and last year it didn’t even sell out until a few days in.
A festival is a big commitment in terms of cost but also getting there, having days off, not having other obligations etc Personally being around 100,000 people in 90 degree weather would literally kill me
Last year didn't sell out immediately though, it was the first time in a LONG time that it didn't. Also, being there physically weekend 2, it was a pretty empty weekend 2 related to all other years
But it did…just looking at Twitter, Coachella announced a sell out for 2022 on 1/14, the same day tickets went on sale.
