Rewatched The Cloverfield Paradox tonight and it definitely seems like a victim of hype/expectations. Not unlike 10 Cloverfield Lane, I think have the Cloverfield name attached to it makes the film worse. It's not great -- the stuff happening on Earth seems to kill the momentum -- but it's a lot of dumb fun with a great cast, Chris O'Dowd in particular. Love how it pays tribute to Alien, The Thing, Evil Dead, and old school sci-fi in general. A solid 3/5 for me.

Interesting…..Kerri Russel being in it and the “Aftershock” title have me skeptical though.

Tremors 2 & 3 still slap in my mind. Wore out those vhs/dvd’s as a child

 

Yeah I enjoyed Tremors 2 a lot. Tremors 3 was predictably campy and dumb but it still has characters I love so lol

seen a lot of cope lately hoping we get a trailer before the next quiet place movie

 

Can’t bump this thread during the Super Bowl and give me that kind of hope come on

 

I would welcome more Cloverfield over the rest of the trailers that were shown
