This band never misses. Albini is a perfect match for them. For those who are sad it's not until February, you should check out their quarantine album, The Black Hole Understands, which is more poppy but just as excellent as their other material. I believe it is still only on Bandcamp but absolutely worth your money if you consider yourself a fan.
They have also been releasing an EP every month since August through bandcamp subscriptions. Pretty crazy amount of music.
unfortunately I don't really like the new song. BUT it's pretty crazy there's a new album already plus the bandcamp EPs
If Baldi and Albini were dismissive of their collaboration, I wonder what interaction took place between the two over the last eight years.
I haven't loved anything since Life Without Sound but I do appreciate the hustle and I don't think anything they've done since has been bad just not very memorable to me
Was hoping going back to Albini/AoM studio would bring out some long jams, but the write up says they're all around 3 minutes long. New song is dope, the monthly EP's continue to be incredible.
Like this song a lot more than the first. Still not sure the production is of the quality I usually expect from Albini. Also surprised how little attention these songs are getting. I feel like a lot of the luster of this band has worn off. Not sure why because I still think they put out commendable releases. I guess there is still a lot of time to be devoted to them given the February release.
Yeah I’m personally not listening to anymore tracks other than the first song that was released. Idk so many artists are starting their rollout in Oct to end in Feb/March as of late.
