from being a kind of weak new music friday for me to a new 12 minute sufjan track and a cloud nothings record in two days can't wait
I honestly wouldn't mind if this was a throwback to their lofi bedroom pop sound still want that album of extended weird jams though
I can’t believe they made this at home but this rules so far. I think my only minor complaint is how awkwardly Tall Gray Structure fits into the middle of the album but it’s still a welcome jam from them so it’s hard to be too put off by it. An Average World and Silent Reaction are immediately a couple of my favorite tracks they’ve put out.
Tall Gray Structure was prob my fav on here on first listen. this is probably gonna grow on me a lot, first listen it kinda got better as it went on for me.
Not sure how many people heard it, but Dylan Baldi released a lo-fi album a few months back. VERY reminiscent of the first two Cloud Nothings albums. https://dylanbaldi.bandcamp.com
listened to it a couple times driving around and it's so good. a silent reaction and right on the edge are my jams right now. this, an ep a month with the bandcamp sub, plus their pre-quarantine album coming out at some point, we're truly blessed.
I’m convinced Dylan can’t write a bad song at this point. Really looking forward to hearing the album they recorded before everything went to shit.
What do we think the chances are of this coming to streaming soon/next week? I don’t really want to put the work into downloading and getting it on my phone if I don’t have to...
