Just gave Attack On Memory my first listen yesterday and thought it was pretty good. Didn't make as large of a first impression on me as Here And Nowhere Else and Life Without Sound did, but I can see it growing on me. Wasted Days is great. As for this album, I've given it my second listen and I love it. Standouts so far are Up To The Surface, Darkened Rings, and Realize My Fate. Up To The Surface is such a perfect song
I keep wanting to point to a stretch of this album that I think is the strongest but really the whole thing, top to bottom, is excellent.
this setlists from these shows are so good, my lord. not that they could have made a bad one but even the order is top tier
eh they aren't the same band as they were from that era, they haven't done any songs from there in a looooong time
yeah, the stuff before that record wasn't written as a full band, basically a dylan solo project before then
Been looking forward to this show since December. Saw that it sold out so definitely going to be a better turnout than the last time I saw them
Always kicking myself for missing them in a hole in the wall in central Florida after they released Attack on Memory.
I mean, I love this album and you are probably right, but their last record is extraordinary too and I wouldn't fault anyone for saying it is the better album.
I love the end of Strange Year. Also Sight Unseen has the most Here and Nowhere Else vibes, and I'm all about it.
