I lose sunglasses so much that I'll never spend more than $20 on them. I had a favorite pair of Dolce and lost them within a few months.
I really don't wear them that often so it's dumb for me to pay a lot. I've never paid over $15 for them lol
I tried on a gray and black striped hi-lo maxi at Torrid today and nearly cried with how perfect it was... and then nearly cried because it was $60 and there's no way in hell. Also, Torrid is the real MVP for having adjustable fans in each dressing room. SO THOUGHTFUL.
I'm not looking for a new job rn but I looked into it just to see what's out there, and part of me doesn't want to get a more professional job because I don't want a strict dress code lol. rn I just wear to work what I wear in everyday life, except I don't wear shorts to work. My organization is pretty lax about clothing and makeup and tattoos and stuff. If I moved to a different org and had to wear slacks and blouses and like neutral lipstick I'd die cause I'm that shallow apparently.
Thank god for scrubs. I put 0 thought into getting ready for work. I don't really wear makeup to work bc of microscopes, goggles, etc. I will say that they don't care about tattoos anymore when it used to be a huge deal in the medical field.
I get sad if I can't wear my clothes/makeup how I want them. It's the only way I know how to express myself and I don't feel like me otherwise. Maybe if I did more stuff outside of work lol but since work is the only thing I really get ready for I like being able to do what I want. Tbh I think the whole idea of what professionalism looks like is just stupid and outdated in general
Anyone else in here big on "street goth" stuff? (i.e.: Rick Owens, Boris Bidjan Saberi, Julius, Yohji Yamamoto, everything Kanye is trying to bite for his lines, etc.) Definitely gets into the pricey range, but it really blew my mind just how varied my typical monochromatic wardrobe could become by branching out into designer territory. All of that and the fact that a life that mandates business casual or daily collared shirts makes me want to live my days out in slightly more extreme garb.
I've had two ideas for my hair and I can't do it bc my job only allows natural hair colors. It's so frustrating.
Love her but someone said it best: it looks like Lenny Kravitz dressed her for the upcoming Quarter Quell
Someone make a VMA thread cause I'm too busy making my VMA mac and cheese. Unless there already is one and I am just not posting in it in which case... rude!
