How nobody's tripped and fell and sued is beyond me.

My hearing is already shitty, it's hard enough doing a stock check through a small walkie when they're blasting music too

I got two new lightweight sweaters that fit me perfectly that I'm very excited about. One is solid black and the other is dark green with navy stripes

How often do you need to wear sweaters over there?

It can hang out between 60-70 kind of consistently believe it or not. And at night the temperature definitely drops. It's also a go-to comfort clothing item or, and the two I mentioned above are more a case for this, a nice way to casually look a little nicer

I expected these 511s to be tighter around the calf and opening. Oh well.

Can we talk about how Hedi has left St Laurent and Anthony Vaccarelo has taken over or am I the only nerd that cares about that stuff lol. I'm not sad to see Hedi go.

If you want something a little tighter around the calf and opening try the 508 Regular Taper or 522 Slim Taper

Attention any fellow thick-thighed ladies: Where do you buy your jeans/what brand?? I have yet to find a brand that makes good pants for girls my shape. I always destroy the inner thighs of my pants.

Wasn't implying this was for men only, the /r/MFA is just the only analogy I could think of off the cuff. More diversity among contributors is certainly better.

So far the general "this is for any of the things" is fine, but Clothing, Shoes and Fashion is such an incredibly wide ranging spectrum that I'm not sure how we'd move away from "this is the basics."

Like this interview with the founder of ACRONYM is super interesting, but I don't know that there are people who are informed or interested enough to sustain a conversation about it in a general thread.

Hey man, if you're knowledgeable about or interested in something feel free to share. No harm in that. Who knows if it catches on you might carve out your own niche in this community. And if no conversation gets started then... oh well..

It's a thread to talk about anything related to clothing, shoes, and fashion. Like Nate said, if you're knowledgable on something, you're more than welcome to post about it. Anything relevant to any of the topics in the thread title is completely fair game.

And if it does turn into something like the Reddit you described, what's the problem with that? There's nothing wrong with all of us giving fashion advice if that's the direction this goes in. I made the thread with a broad start point with the intention that it could encompass a variety of topics

I own waaaaaay too much stuff that are dark colors. Waaay too many dark Navys and Blacks. I'm trying to brighten up my wardrobe, especially since it's Spring and it's the most appropriate time to do it

A Van's store just opened at the local mall in my area and I like a ton of stuff in there. I didn't know their shoe game has changed so drastically from when I was in high school. Needless to say, I have purchased 3 pair already.

Vans Shoes for me. I've owned like 20+ pairs and I always have a few different colors laying around. Trying hard to branch out more.

Funny, I just posted about Van's, and I can understand how you own so many. I am well on my way.

My point was that, in theory, this functions better as a whole Forum category - Fashion (Clothes, Shoes, Male, Female) and Design - with individual threads dedicated to different subjects. I'm happy this thread exists at all! I like music! I like fashion! I like (and have a huge collection of) shoes!

But there's a functional difference between a thread where anything goes and a thread dedicated to a particular or specific topic. Maybe someone will make more, other specific fashion-related threads! The analogy is if there was just a single MUSIC thread and a thousand conversations about every single band AP/Chorus.fm covered was taking place in that one thread - it'd be super difficult to follow and engage.

We don't have to continue this vein of conversation; suffice to say that I'm happy this thread exists and interested to see where it goes, whether I'm an active participant or not.

Literally all the time. I probably own way more striped shirts than one person should

Oh okay I get what you're saying now. I don't know that this thread gets enough attention to warrant having its own separate forum. If at some point the thread is overflowing and reaches chat thread level movement I think it'd be something to consider but for right now I don't think there's enough conversation to need everything divided up.

I could buy a zillion dresses with that neckline. It's my fave but I feel like it's hard for me to find cause most things with sweetheart necklines are sleeveless or are like too rockabilly for me

    RIP my bank account

I made a purchase at Macy's yesterday cause they were having a sale and then I see that Aerie has all their individual swimsuit pieces on sale for $15???? I hate life.

Vans are pretty lame. I feel like no self-respecting person over the age of 11 should be wearing them, but that's just me.
