@ChaseTx When I worked at Levi's they would tell us to recommend people folding up their jeans, putting them in a ziplock bag, and putting it in the freezer over night. My boss had done it and said it worked.
To clean without any shrinkage. It won't work for stains, but the low temperature somehow lifts out any bacteria.
If they're 511s they should have spandex which means if you keep wearing them, they may stretch out a bit again but then they'll shrink back up as soon as you wash them. Where did you buy them?
Yeah I was going to try squeezing into them and see if that works. I got them as a gift but they err bought at Kohls
Odd question: looking for to get a pair of Nike Air Force 1's. I like the mid' best, but can't tell if they would look weird with shorts on. Thoughts? Should I just get the lows?
Mids would look weird with shorts (outside of a pickup game). Even AF lows have very thick soles and look meh with shorts, but undoubtedly better than the mids would look.
For me, it's usually something like: Lacoste polos H&M or ASOS skinny jeans Stapleford, Pendleton, or Select flannels H&M, Junk Food, or BDG tees Tretorn, Sanuk, Gravis, or Chucks for shoes J. Crew button downs
I stopped buying new clothes lol. I own like 2 hoodies, 5 shirts, 3 pants, 1 pair of shoes. Once my VAN's get ripped I'll just toss em and get the exact same pair. Whatever.
I wish I could do this. that's really all I usually wear is a mix of a handful of items. H&M basic tees, a couple henley's, and a few Poler shirts, and handful of band tees that fit weird (I never learn my lesson). throw some tanks in the mix for summer. pile of Poler hoodies I won, and one H&M cowlneck hoodie I love. H&M slim low waist jeans & Levi's 514's (which I need to restock up on) Van's (Authentics & Gilbert Pro), Nike SB (Project BA & TrainerEndor), Chucks
I basically do all of my casual and work shopping at J.Crew, Banana and Bonobos. I recently found that the Super Skinny jeans from Abercrombie fit me well (hate going there). Shoes/boots from Clarks, J Shoes, Timberland, Sperry, Aldo. Sneakers are Vans and Nike.
I guess I don't know the point/goal of this thread... Are we still working through that? Is it just for people to pop in and talk about random fashion or clothing questions, for people to just post what they wear (which is what it seems like) or for people who are actually interested in fashion (what I was hoping for)? Thoughts? If this is just going to be another reddit/r/malefashionadvice then I'm not sure what the point is.
Kinda little sidenote but besides working at Levi's I also work at A&F too, and even though they've definitely built up this idea and 'look' for the past couple of years but they've been going through rebranding as of the last year or so. They've actually hired the lead men's designer from Club Monaco and he's been talking about slowly moving away from the typical 'Moose' covered stuff and more into that CM direction. We've been slowly getting some new stuff in and I'm really digging the look, it's stuff that I'd actually wanna buy and wouldn't be slightly embarrassed to own haha
@zachff Not sure why you think this is just for males or for male fashion advice. This is for any of the things you just described.
I dig the Club Monaco style, so I'll be on the lookout. But is it still gonna be ridiculously dark in A&F? I mean it's not night vision goggles necessary, like Hollister, but still pretty dark.
Maybe in the future they'll brighten things up, but as of now they'll be unfortunately keeping it that way
