Anyone have tips on finding *wide* water proof sneakers (or preferably sneaker boots)? Everything is medium width or ugly. Sucks.
Everything is very ugly. I was trying to find good waterproof shoes for my winter trip to London. Vans has a few.
Check out Lems. They make all 'barefoot' style shoes/boots and some sneaker boots, so its all extra wide toe boxes. I've been eyeing some of their waterproof boots lately myself since I've been trying to fix my foot posture.
I would suggest New Balance and Brooks, they have wide options in their shoe selections. Additionally, brands like Merrell, Keen, and Salomon, which specialize in outdoor and hiking footwear, often have wider sizes available.
I need to get some more NB 574 colorways. They're the only sneaker I've ever worn that doesn't kill my feet after standing around at a show for hours, and I dont feel like I look bad in them so that helps too. I've finally accepted that my sk8 highs just aren't cutting it anymore as much as I love the look of them.
I used to be only a dunk guy but then I started switching to different kind of runners I could get. I got the New Balance 610 Nike ACG Air Mada ASICS Gel Lyte 3 and soon I’m looking into sauconys
I also love my 574s. My sneaker collection is massive, but these days I find myself just rotating between a few pairs of 574s.
I need to figure out how to organize my closet. I just hate putting away my laundry sooooo much that no matter what I do it just ends up being a big pile in my laundry basket and then gets all wrinkled. Edit: tried looking at tiktok for ideas and am dying at how gigantic these people's closets are. I need to maximize closet space that is like half that size or smaller lol
I am going to the Nike company store this weekend which would probably be amazing if I was a sneaker person or whatever but im not so I am gonna research and see what stands out wish me luck I feel v intimidated because everyone makes it seem like a big deal. I get a pass every year but have never used it until now
Sweeeet. I'm stoked, I've wanted a pair for like two or more years now and just finally pulled the trigger. Which do you have? I'm trying the Hero out and might change to the Captain or President if I don't like the style.
Yeah the allure of the employee store has gone away for me, even as a sneaker person. I get the chance to go once a month now and most months I don't. Totally get the intimidating factor part though. Doesn't help you can't make exchanges, which I think plays a part of the intimidation factor (at least for me when I'd get a pass once a year through my employer). Felt like I was buying stuff just to buy stuff.
I think it'll help that I don't rly care for like a specific style or colorway or anything and am just going to browse so I won't be disappointed if they don't have something I want. But it does sound like a whole thing with long lines which I don't enjoy lol. The Adidas company store seems more chill and the last pair of shoes I got I rly liked were Adidas so I may hit up both
They've given people at Nike's campus 3 physical passes to give to F&F the past few weeks, so I'm sure it's hell there on the weekends not even including the nike employees who can go through their employee entrance haha But I agree, the adidas employee store vibe is muchhhhhhhh calmer usually lol
It's so hard to choose they have the cutest color combos! I have a Cotopaxi jacket I wear almost every day
I almost want to select “surprise me” but some combos I don’t really like much. I also shouldn’t impulse buy things but I want a smaller bag instead of my purse
Got my Thursday boots today and was really surprised at how good they felt and how good they look. Really liking them. Fit like a glove.
this is the one I ended up ordering. It was still hard to choose. I wish it had more color in it but maybe next time I’ll be quicker. I also didn’t need impulse buy and add on to my credit card debt. I didn’t realize they were “one of a kind”, so once it’s gone it’s gone, so I took my time to order otherwise I probably would have purchased sooner.
Went to the nike company store today. Got a couple cute clothing things and then a pair of shoes. my sister came with me and she knows someone who works there so it was nice kind of having a personal shopper help pick things out. I wouldn't say there was a ton that I loved, but I actually prefer that because it prevented me from spending even more money I didn't need to spend lol
So I am tired of feeling uncomfortably stuffed into my jeans so I sized up. I've always been dumb and stuffed myself into the smallest size I could button which made me physically uncomfortable but also looks worse cause then it makes my stomach spill over my jeans, even when I was at my thinnest it just doesn't look as good. So anyway I bought some Levi's and they felt great in the morning and I felt all confident without my stomach feeling trapped (even tho I realized midday I had left the size sticker on the leg oop) but by the end of the day they felt stretched out and a little too loose in the waist I know I can wear a belt but point is I feel like that shouldn't be a thing. Maybe I should've gotten a stiffer denim but they didn't have my size in those styles
I definitely had the same bad habit of wearing stuff too tight, so I got a little overzealous and bought jeans that were way too big for me and no matter how much I tighten my belt, they still fall down as I walk because I have no hips >_> it's the worst
